Your Destination —
There is no better destination in Europe than Milan for a shopping weekend. Take time to visit the birthplace of so many of the famous design houses such as Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Armani. Walk through the Manzoni quarter to visit the avenues where fashion is created daily, namely on Montenapoleone Boulevard and Via della Spiga. This area has been named "Fashion Square" by the locals and is definitely worth a visit.
Fashion and shopping is not all there is to see and do in Italy, as the city's rich heritage is present at every street corner and on every square. Enjoy visits of the various cathedrals and museums, or simply soak up the atmosphere at an outdoor café, discovering the city like one of the locals.
Your Apartment —
This offer is based on a 1 Bedroom Apartment for up to 2 People on a self-catering stay. A fully equipped kitchen is provided.
Entering into the apartment you will find a spacious living room with a floor to ceiling bookcase offering all kind of books to explore the beauty of Italy, arts, opera and literature comfortably sitting on a sofa. On the right side you will find an intimate and quiet bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two windows overlooking the courtyard.
On the other side of the house you will find a fully equipped kitchen - ideal for preparing romantic meals! The equipment includes all the basics plus additional luxurious such as Richard Ginori table sets! There is a stunning terrace where can enjoy an Italian aperitivo as the evening comes. The dining room seats up to 8 people. Its formal attire makes it suitable for dinners but also to host meetings. A small guest bathroom completes the suite. Bed sheets and towels are refreshed every 3 nights.
The Neighborhood:
A big 24/7 supermarket is just 50 meters from the apartment as well as other shops such as cafeterias, restaurants, pizzerias, pharmacies, cleaning services and the like. The “Pasticceria” in Corso Plebisciti (50 meters from the Apartment) offers a very good breakfast and one of the best “pastiera” in Milan. The best restaurants at walking distance are: 13 Giugno in Via Goldoni, Filippo La Mantia in Piazza Risorgimento e Piero e Pia in Piazza Domenico Aspari. Parking can be found for free in Corso Plebisciti (central section) or 50 meters from the apartment (21 euro/24 hours, 13 euro/12 hours).
Location: City Centre (piazza Duomo, via Montenapoleone, piazza San Babila): walk to the bus stop in Corso Plebisciti in front of the news stand and catch a direct bus (no. 54 or 61) heading to Piazza San Babila (2 minutes walking and 10 minutes by bus). By taxi it takes about 10 minutes, walking 20 minutes.
