Entrance tickets to Aragon Castle
The magic of the green island finds one of its greatest expressions in the fascination that the Aragonese castle of Ischia unleashes, offering a unique scenario with breathtaking views of the gulf islands and the hamlet of Ponte. Let yourself be fascinated by the magic of Aragon Castle and the beauty of an island that will never cease to amaze you.
Located on a small island 113 meters above sea level, the Aragonese Castle is the result of an eruption that occurred over 300,000 years ago. The turbulent history of Castello Aragonese began in 474 BC, when the first fortress was built by the Greco-Syracusan Gerone I, from whom it originally took its name. In 315 AD the Romans built the town of Aenaria on the island of Ischia and the castle was probably used as a defense site, on which a few houses have been found.
