Andrea Bocelli is a star of the classical music genre and is a true icon in his field; so much so that he even has his own star on the walk of fame in Hollywood. He has received many awards and nominations, and has performed for royalty on more than one occasion.
Born in the rural farming town of Lajatico - Tuscany, multi-platinum-selling Andrea Bocelli is one of the world's most beloved tenors with close to 80 million records sold over the past twenty years of his career.
With an angelic voice that resonates across the stage, reaching even the furthest seats, Bocelli is renowned for being a unique performer. His voice is capable of stirring all manner of emotions, and he provides the audience with a truly memorable experience. Andrea has worked with the likes of Luciano Pavarotti, Sarah Brightman, and has sung for the Pope.
This magical open air theatre is just outside Bocelli's hometown, Lajatico and since 2006 Andrea Bocelli has performed there once a year. He influenced the municipality of his hometown to build the outdoor theatre, and contributed greatly towards its construction.
A stunning setting, it is surrounded by the rolling hills of Tuscany, offering a feast for all your senses.
The theatre only holds this event once a year and remains silent for the rest of the year, hence it's name which translates as the 'Theatre of Silence.'
For the 2016 edition of the most famous event in Tuscany, the most popular Italian tenor in the world will perform a lyrical repertoire that consists of some of the most famous opera arias, in an astonishing context, rich of colors and phantasmagoric scenic design, dedicated to one of the oldest and most fascinating shows of all time: the Circus.
