Visit Zafferana Etnea, located within the Sicilian countryside in the province of Catania. This small village of less than 10 000 inhabitants is located in the Etna Natural Park, the highest volcano in Europe and also one of the most active in the world. This idyllic setting is the perfect place for a peaceful escape.

Your Hotel —

The boutique-hotel Monaci delle Terre Nere is a 20-room hotel is set in an old 19th-century aristocratic villa. On the grounds of the property you will find an organic vegetable patch, a landscaped garden, a swimming pool and a pleasant terrace where you can eat your meals. Upon arrival, a welcome drink will be offered (per person and per stay).

Sleep

Guestrooms at the Hotel Monaci delle Terre Nere are charming and welcoming. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome box of chocolates (per room per stay).

- Classic Room (22 m² / max 2 persons): Ideal for short breaks, this room has a classic and elegant style.

- Superior Room (26 m² / max 2 persons): This room opens out onto a peaceful patio area.

- Deluxe Room (30 m² / max 2 persons): This room is distinguished by its beautiful wooden floor and its tasteful decor.

- Suite (45 m² / max 2 persons): This spacious suite is located under the eaves and features an elegant contemporary style bathtub for you to relax in.

- Deluxe Annex Suite (50 m² / max 4 persons): This suite is located in a separate building to give the feeling of intimacy and privacy.

- Suite Dependance (50 m² / 4 persons including 2 adults): This suite is perfect for a comfortable and peaceful escape.

- King Suite Elegante (150 m² / max 6 persons including 4 adults): The suite is located on the top of an hill having an amazing view on the Mediterranean Sea. It’s the perfect accommodation for families and friends looking for privacy but sharing the same house.

Please note: the bed for the 3rd/4th guest sharing is likely to be a sofa bed or camp style bed.

Taste

Every morning a delicious breakfast buffet is prepared for you to enjoy. On the menu, fresh fruits, pastries, sweet and savoury dishes and hot or cold drinks. At the hotel restaurant, the chef prepares seasonal cuisine made from fresh and tasty produce.

At dinner, the approach is refined but local, with creative takes on peasant dishes. Owner Coffa is an authority on the upcoming Etna wine scene, which you can explore via his excellent wine list, or on a tasting visit of the nearby Benanti winery.

- Catania–Fontanarossa Airport is 35km from the hotel.
- Comiso Airport is 116km from the hotel.

Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel documents —

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours. Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible. 

Accommodation Only:
You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

Flight Inclusive Offers
The airline is ticket-less and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website. You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents. We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
