Cinque Terre —
Be enchanted by the stunning Cinque Terre region on the Italian Riviera where five colourful villages are nestled between cliffs along this UNESCO coastline.
Riomaggiore, the largest village, is the first stop on the train line, and features a medieval castle perched on a cliff. The next stop, is Manarola, where you can try can sample sweet Sciacchetrà wine produced in one of its scenic vineyard terraces.
In Vernazza, quaint fishing boats bob alongside historic buildings whilst in Monterosso al Mare, sandy beaches, lemon trees and the impressive statue of Neptune paint the landscape.
How to reach Cinque Terre:
- Take the car (or a taxi) and drive to the train station in La Spezia (about half an hour away, free parking in Piazza d'Armi, about 700 m from the station)
- With your Cinque Terre Card (valid for 1 day) you can stop at any railway station in the Cinque Terre as often as you like
- Reach the first town within 7 minutes, and all other destinations are about 5-10 minutes apart

The Golfo dei Poeti, or Gulf of Poets, was first named by author Sem Benelli due to the unmatched inspiration it has always provided to writers and novelists.
It is renowned worldwide as a cultural and scenic paradise, boasting picturesque views, mountain villages, medieval castles, sandy beaches, and lush green hills.
You will travel by coach to the Golfo dei Poeti to picturesque villages such as Lerici, Portovenere and Tellaro.
