Your Optional Excursions —
Kintamani Tour (6 – 7 hours)

Discover Goa Gajah or the famous Elephant Cave. This unique place overlooks the Petanu River and features a Siwaitic rock-cut cave, a bathing place, a monks' chamber, numerous rock-cut Buddhist stupas and statues and several foundations.
Tampaksiring and its temple with sacred water springs date back centuries. The water is believed to have magical healing powers and is a place to purify us from the evil influences of life. It is believed that the water that comes out of the shower eliminates all kinds of diseases, including adverse effects on human life, and gives a new Holy Spirit.
The village of Temen is an area well known for its spices, coffee and vanilla plantations. The volcano, still active, offers a spectacular view of Bali's largest lake, Danu Batur. Tegallalang, located north of Ubud, is a must-see and very famous for its unique panorama offering a spectacular view of the rice terraces.
Bedugul Mountain Tour (7 – 8 hours)

Mengwi is a small village with a brilliant history as the capital of a powerful kingdom in the 17th century and is the site of an important temple from that time. The once great kingdom of Mengwi emerged with the weakening of Gelgel in East Bali around 1650. The most splendid remnant of the former glory of Mengwi is undoubtedly Pura Taman Ayun. It is probably the largest existing Balinese temple house, built in the mid-18th century by the greatest king of Mengwi.
Lake Bratan, located in the mountains near Bedugul, offers the best view of an important Shiva water temple that was built in 1663. The temple is used for ceremonial offerings to the Balinese goddess of water, lakes and rivers, Dewi Danu. Lake Bratan is known as the sacred mountain lake because of the fertility of the area. Located at 1200 m above sea level, it enjoys a cool tropical climate.

Your Destination —
Ubud
When you think of Bali, images of Ubud's towering temples and lush, green rice terraces are often dreamt up. While the centre of Ubud's town is busy with tourists, traditional craft shops and cultural landmarks, the real draw of Ubud lies in its tranquil outskirts, which are rich in hypnotic and stunningly scenic natural beauty.
As the heartland of the island, Ubud is ideal for both those who want a total escape from their daily life, and those who wish to uncover the ancient secrets of Balinese culture. Undoubtedly, a must-see spot on any tourist's list is the Ubud Monkey Forest, where over 700 long-tailed macaques share their spiritual home with daily visitors. In addition to the lively residents, the forest boasts 186 different species of tree and several sacred temples.
Another Ubud highlight is the Tegallalang Rice Terrace, a prime photo-stop that showcases some of the most beautiful terraced fields in all of Southeast Asia. We highly recommend heading here to enjoy the absolute best of Bali's nature - it also promises a cool, breezy atmosphere which is more than welcome following a break at the beach!
