Your Itinerary —

Day 1: Welcome to Makassar
Welcome by your guide at the airport with a signage in your name. Transfer to the hotel. 

Day 2: Makassar - Ramang Ramang - Tana Toraja (7/8 hours drive)  
Breakfast and drive to Toraja country. Journey time: 7-8 hours by car.  Visit the Bantimurung National Park located in the Regency of Maros. On more than 43,000 hectares, Bantimurung National Park is divided into three main types of ecosystems, namely karstic ecosystems, a lowland forest ecosystem, and a lowland forest ecosystem. The steep limestone valleys with tropical vegetation have made Bantimurung an ideal habitat for a variety of rare and endemic species of butterflies, birds and insects. In the village of Ramang Ramang, you will embark on a pirogue to descend the river Pute for 25 minutes. The landscapes are breathtaking. You will arrive in Berua where after a walk you will have the opportunity to visit a prehistoric cave and discover rock paintings. Visit the cave of bats. Return to your hotel in Rantepao. 
Days 3 and 4: Toraja Tour 
During these two days, you will visit the region Tana Toraja. Blessed by beautiful landscapes, it is the stronghold of a strange and always active local culture. Although most of the native population has converted to Christianity, it is nonetheless faithful to certain secular animist traditions. She still practices the great rites of Aluk To Dolo, ancestor worship. You will visit his villages. Its traditional houses, imposing vessels with large slender roofs called Tongkonan, stand on stilts. Dug into the cliff, we can see the mortuary niches of the local aristocracy, accompanied by some Tau-tau, an effigy of carved wood resembling the dead and honoring the deceased. Its colorful markets invite you to stroll through its mazes every day. The Toraja shop and shop every day. If during your stay you have the opportunity to see a funeral ceremony, a local family will invite you to join her and you will attend the fascinating funeral ritual. Return to Rantepao for dinner. Night at the hotel.  

Day 5: Rantepao - Palopo - Makassar - Denpasar
Transfer to Palopo airport (about 2 hours drive), then fly Palopo / Denpasar via Makassar.

Discover Ubud, the artistic capital of Bali with a tour which will take you to the iconic attractions that shape the charm of the city.

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel around 08:00 and take you to Singapadu village to visit a traditional Balinese house where you can admire its authentic architectural style. The next stop is the Ubud Monkey Forest, home to hundreds of macaques guarding the Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal temple (sacred bathing temple).

Lunch will be served in a typical restaurant. After lunch, visit the Pura Saraswati temple which is dedicated to Dewi Saraswati, the goddess of learning, literature and arts. This will be followed by a walk in the Ubud market, where you can discover and buy handmade products at competitive prices, not forgetting to negotiate! The day ends with a visit to the fascinating ARMA Museum (Agung Rai Museum of Art) to admire many works, both traditional and contemporary, from Indonesian and Balinese art.

Kecak Traditional Dances

Explore Bali's spiritual side by attending a performance of Kecak traditional dances which relays the mythological epic of the Ramanaya who tells the story of love between Rama and Shinta. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel around 15:30 and drive you to Uluwatu temple looking out onto the Indian Ocean, perched atop a 100m cliff. The performance with begin at 18:00 as the sun sets.
