Crete —
The ancient island of Crete is the fifth-largest in the Mediterranean and is home to a magical tapestry of splendid beaches, ancient treasures, vibrant cities and dreamy villages. To escape the heat in the summer, venture inland to the island’s dramatic mountains - hike the length of the Samaria Gorge and get lost in its winding river path, or experience thrilling views from Giouchtas Mountain.
