Located on the east coast of Sicily, Catania is situated at the foot of the largest volcano in Europe, Mount Etna. Palermo is the capital of the Italian island, Sicily, an island renowned as a vacation destination due to its great beauty and historical significance. Leave the ship in Palermo's port and journey back in time, the embracing spirit of Roger’s reign is gloriously expressed in many of the great buildings of Sicily, but nowhere more perfectly than the Palatine Chapel, built during the 1130s and 1140s.

Steeped in history and decked in riotously coloured flowers that give it its nickname of the 'Garden Isle', the Portuguese volcanic island of Madeira basks in year-round sunshine and offers natural spectacles at almost every turn.
