Tignes Val Claret sits at the bottom of the Grande Motte glacier and is the livelier of the two resorts. With quick and easy access via a funicular railway to the glacier, a trip to the top is well advised as the enormity of the ski area becomes apparent. It’s like standing on top of the world.
