Comprised of eight world-class resorts - including popular destinations such as Meribel, Courchevel, and Val Thorens - this is the largest ski area in the world offering 600 kilometres of pistes and 183 ski lifts. Meribel —
Delightful Meribel lies in the middle of the 3 Valleys ski area, and offers easy access to all of this region's exciting 600km of pistes. With plenty of gorgeous chalet-style buildings to admire and a lively, vibrant village centre, Meribel is the perfect place to wander after the slopes have closed and enjoy the shops, restaurants, and bars.
Founded by British Colonel, Peter Lindsay, in 1938, Meribel has retained its charming Alpine style, while still offering exciting sports opportunities. Offering a ski terrain ranging from 1100m to 2952m, visitors can explore a range of beginner to expert runs, and if you’re not a skier, there are also opportunities to try winter hiking, snowshoeing, and ice skating in the town.
In the summer, Meribel transforms to a true Alpine getaway, and with 100km of mountain bike trails to explore, you’ll be sure of a jam-packed, thrilling holiday. The town is also home to an 18-hole golf course with beautiful mountain views, and on the Isere river you can even try white water rafting!
