Christopher Pratt —
As a professional skipper with over 15 years of experience, Christopher Pratt has always aspired to sail at the pinnacle of the sport. Emerging in the Imoca class, he made a notable mark in the 2010 Route du Rhum. Progressing alongside sailing stalwarts like Armel Le Cleach and Jérémie Beyou, he secured successive podium finishes in the Transat Jacques Vabre of 2011 and 2013.
Returning to Figaro in 2016, Pratt later ventured into the Multi 50 class for the 2017 Transat Jacques Vabre, encountering tumultuous seas. Undeterred, he clinched an admirable 4th place in the subsequent Transat AG2R. With nearly 4 years in the Charal Sailing Team, he claimed two 3rd positions in the Transat Jacques Vabre.
Christopher Pratt is not just a skilled sailor but also an ambitious entrepreneur. Co-founding MARSAIL in 2008 for nautical event management, he extended his expertise into developing managerial solutions for businesses, drawing on insights from offshore racing. His focus on decision-making and motivation in extreme environments embodies his passion for merging Sports and Business.
The Wind of Trust —
The Ocean Fifty's Wind of Trust set sail in August 2009 and has consistently demonstrated its excellence across various waters, excelling in transatlantic races and prestigious events such as the Route du Rhum, Transat Jacques Vabre, Transat Québec – Saint-Malo, and more.
Crafted by Van Peteghem – Lauriot Prévost and constructed at CDK under the expert guidance of Hubert Desjoyeaux, this design has undergone continual refinement. Initially by Frank-Yves Escoffier, then by Erwan Le Roux, both deeply involved in each stage of the trimaran's evolution for securing victories. Under the recent stewardship of Gilles Lamiré, Wind of Trust maintains its status as one of the fleet's lighter vessels, holding its own among newer generations.
In 2023, it came under the capable hands of Christopher Pratt, who is exploring its potential this season before undoubtedly further enhancing its capabilities. As the most decorated among the Ocean Fifty fleet, its rich history continues.
