Hostellerie La Croix Blanche —
The historic coaching inn from 1696 has been transformed into a comfortable 3* hotel boasting 24 comfortable, individually decorated bedrooms as well as a cosy restaurant, bar-lounge, flowered terraces and an outdoor pool.
The hotel still has many authentic architectural and decorative features throughout the building: slate roofs, tufa walls, decorative chimneys, beamed ceilings and a well-chosen combination of modern comforts in this historic setting. Dine at leisure in the ‘Le Plantagenêt’ restaurant where typical French dishes are served, as well as seasonal gourmet cuisine in a casual setting. Savour home-cooked meals with a modern touch!
In summer meals are served on the terraces too, whilst in winter you can enjoy the log fires in the Le Plantagenet restaurant and lounge bar.

Restaurant ‘Le Plantagenêt’ has been listed among some of the best restaurants in the Saumur region - the flowered courtyard terrace has been rated one of the most attractive in the Western Loire! Many awards have been received for its excellent combination of classic but innovative cuisine using many local ingredients, unusual herbs and spices, as well as flowers and forgotten vegetables. Contemporary cuisine combined with classic French dishes are served in the refurbished restaurant. On warm summer days all meals can be served on the 17th-century courtyard full of flowers, or on the village square terrace facing the fountain.
Le Lounge, the cosy bar-lounge has comfortable club chairs and couches where you can enjoy a good book with a glass of Loire Valley wine.
Your Time
After a day of cycling, visiting Loire Valley castles, markets and wineries, a dip in the pool is the perfect way to unwind and relax. The small garden that borders the pool has been planted with shrubs, palm trees and raspberry bushes for your enjoyment – a welcome break in a busy holiday schedule!

Transfers:
It may be possible to add return transfers at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only - subject to availability). For inbound transfer arrangements please confirm with your transfer provider when you arrive. Alternatively, please check with the reception of your accommodation. Car Hire:
For the freedom to explore your destination at your own pace, Sixt car hire may be added at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only - subject to availability and Sixt office opening times upon your arrival). Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group. The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver. The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted). The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on the collection of the vehicle and in some cases, a credit card or cash deposit will be required. Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions.
