Ideally located between Bordeaux and Bergerac, in the Dordogne, the Château des Vigiers is also neighbour to the famous winery, Saint-Emilion. You will find us on the wine route, near the medieval city of Sarlat, the Lascaux caves and other chateau-filled valleys, the property extends over 150 hectares, home to grapevines, lakes, oak tree forests and a golf course...A sumptuous setting for an exceptional destination where there art of living is a reality.

Your Hotel —

This majestic 4* establishment with a unique charm is situated on a very larger property that includes a golf course and well-being centre. It is comprised of a 16th century chateau, its outbuildings and staging post. The chateau's lodgings include 25 rooms. Here, precious fabrics blend with antique furnishings, silk carpets with stylish armchairs, and the overall colour palette harmonises perfectly with the soft glow of the lighting. As a family, or a couple, for a weekend or a longer period, enough to explore the surroundings and discover its gastronomy, let the charm and luxury of this destination do its magic as a guest at the Château des Vigiers. To greet you in the best possible manner, you will find a complimentary box of chocolates for you upon your arrival (one per room, per stay).

Sleep

Decorated in a style that gently marries the charm of old with contemporary comforts, the rooms offer a unique ambiance in the heart of a 16th century chateau.

- Classic room in the Château (20 m² / max 2 adults): Located on the ground or first floor, these rooms dressed in soft colours give it a feeling of serenity for an unforgettable stay.

- Deluxe room in the Château (30 m² / max 2 adults): Get comfortable in a Deluxe room and enjoy its view of the golf course or park.

- Prestige Room in the Chateau (45 m² / max 2 adults): Live the true chateau life by choosing one of these rooms. A reception that justifies its name is waiting for you there, some champagne and a selection of fruits and pastries on the agenda.

- Dependances Suites (60 m² / max 2 persons): Created by one of the remaining stone masons in the region, these suites are the most spacious and have a separate living room and a private terrace.

Please note: the bed for the 3rd/4th guest sharing is likely to be a sofa bed or camp style bed.

Taste

Located in the right wing of the chateau, "Les Fresques" restaurant is emblematic of French gastronomy. Presented with a prestigious Michelin star, it sets itself apart with the elaborate cuisine of Chef Didier Casaguana. "The Chai" brasserie is located in the former "chai" or where wine barrels used to be stored as part of the fabrication process. The cuisine here is produced by the assistants to Didier Casaguana, educated and regularly updated within the organisation of Alain Ducasse. It is the ideal spot for refuelling between two golf swings!

Experience

You cannot stay at the chateau without being tempted by a round of golf, thanks to the domain's 27 hole course and due to the fact that it was elected the "Best Golf Hotel" in France in 2015. That said, you may alternate it in with other activities such as sun bathing next to the pool, beauty treatments, work outs in the fitness room, massages and other personal treatments offered at the Spa that only uses branded products from Maria Galland and Sultane de Saba for your pampering.  As a plus, you will benefit from a 15% reduction on the Spa's offerings! You will return home more radiant than ever after your stay in the Aquitaine!

Please note that the hotel's spa & wellness area will be closed for renovations between 13th November - April 2018.

-The Bordeaux airport is about 115 km from the hotel

Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel documents —

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours. Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible. 

Accommodation Only:
You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

Flight Inclusive Offers
The airline is ticket-less and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website. You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents. We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
