Your Destination —
Visitors can enjoy exhilarating Winter sports, reindeer, husky and snowmobile safaris - all wonderful ways to immerse yourself in the magnificent Arctic wilderness scenery.
Your hotel is situated by Lake Talvijärvi in Ruka - a small village and ski resort close to Oulanka National Park. The surrounding landscape is made up of dense pine forests and steep valleys - the perfect example of untouched beauty.
Your Itinerary —
DAY 1 – Arrival to Kuusamo
Arrival to Kuusamo and transfer to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Meet the guide at the reception of your hotel and depart for an exciting safari with the dogs. Car transfer to husky farm, where you meet eager huskies. Enjoy a ride of around 10 km in a sledge pulled by huskies. A small snack is also served while listening the stories of the husky farm.
Return to the hotel and time for lunch.
In the afternoon will go to a reindeer farm where reindeer herder is already waiting for you. You will learn about the life of reindeer and herding, and enjoy a short safari on a sledge , followed by feeding the reindeer. Small snack included.
Return to the hotel and relax in the sauna. Dinner and overnight.

Snowmobile safari takes you through the most breathtaking scenery of Ruka. This is a great safari for families and beginners. The route is 30 km and halfway we will take a break at the wilderness hut and enjoy picnic lunch.

Walk in snowshoes to the lake nearby. At the lake your guide tells you about ice fishing and helps you to get started. Who will catch the biggest fish?! Hot coffee/juice will be enjoyed during the program.
Return to the hotel and relax in the sauna. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 – Departure from Kuusamo
Breakfast in the hotel.
Transfer to Kuusamo airport on time for your flights.

Enjoy a 4 night stay at Rukatonttu Hotel, in a Standard Room with Half Board dining (Daily breakfast and dinner in main restaurant - excludes drinks.)
The hotel offers 16 cosy bedrooms with free wifi, a stylish contemporary restaurant and an inviting bar with comfortable armchairs set around a roaring fire. Sauna use is also included for every guest.
