Besides the Christmas festivities, Rovaniemi is also a great springboard from which to explore the Ranua Wildlife Park and the Arkitikum Science Museum.

Opened in 1978, Arctic City Hotel 4* in modern, cosy and personal hotel that is family-run and has been served by three generations of staff. Priding itself on exceptional personal service and a welcoming atmosphere, this hotel is home to a fantastic restaurant, Monte Rosa, which is renowned for serving the best steaks in town. Husky Safari with Pick-Up and Drop-Off - 2.5 Hours
After a short drive from town, you will arrive at a husky farm, where the friendly dogs will bark an enthusiastic welcome to you! Before departing on the safari, you will be instructed on how to control the sleds which you'll ride in pairs. Once you return to the farm, enjoy some hot berry juice by an open fire and learn about these amazing animals as you chat with the musher. Includes transfers - husky drive is approx. 1.5 hours.

Optional Excursions

You may choose to add the following excursions at the next stage of the booking process. 

Driver's Dream Snowmobile Trip - 3 Hours
Immerse yourself in the heart of Finland's natural landscapes on this fun safari, where you will learn how to drive a snowmobile along frozen rivers and through snow-covered forests, enjoying exceptional views of the river valley from the hilltops. A break with hot beverages is included to give you extra energy! This trip is adults only, and requires a driving license. It is available from 10:30-13:30 daily.
Santa Claus / Reindeer Safari by Snowmobile - 6 Hours
Begin your day with a snowmobile safari to a reindeer farm where you will learn about reindeer husbandry and Lappis culture. Embark on a reindeer ride and attend a special Lapp ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. In the afternoon, continue by car to Santa Claus Village with time to do some shopping and meet Santa Claus himself! This trip includes a delicious lunch as well as a diploma for crossing the Arctic Circle. Available from 10:00 to 16:00 daily - a driver's license is required and children aged 4-14 and under 140cm will be driven by a guide.
