Your Itinerary —
During their tour, our members will follow the itinerary as seen below. Please note that this itinerary is for Offer 2. When selecting just the Wild Rovaniemi tour, you will start on Day 3, travelling directly to Rovaniemi.
Upon arrival in Helsinki, make your own way to the Original Hotel Sokos Presidentti 4*. Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is a vibrant seaside city with beautiful islands and great parks. The city’s rhythm is laid back, yet at the same time, is refreshingly active in terms of both the number and quality of restaurants and nightclubs. You will spend this day at your leisure, exploring the town or enjoying an excursion. Overnight stay at the Original Hotel Sokos Presidentti 4*.
Day 2: Helsinki - Rovaniemi via Overnight Train
Wake up to a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Today is another day where you can discover Helsinki before making your way to the train station in the evening to catch the overnight train up north, to Rovaniemi. This journey will depart from Helsinki at roughly 6 pm or 9 pm and will arrive in Rovaniemi approximately 12 hours later on the following morning (schedule subject to change). Overnight stay on the Lapland Express Train.
Upon arrival into Rovaniemi, you will take a shared transfer from the airport to your accommodation (Offer 1 only). When selecting Offer 2, you will need to make your own arrangements to get to your accommodation from the trainstation. The rest of the day is to be spent at leisure. Overnight stay at the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge.
Day 4: Rovaniemi
After breakfast, you will spend the day exploring and enjoying your included Snow Fun Day Combo. Head out into the wilderness and unearth the incredible landscapes of this winter wonderland. You will first stop at the local reindeer farm where you will get to experience a short but exciting reindeer sleigh ride. You'll then warm up in the Lappish tepee called “kota”, where hot Lappish berry juice and cookies will be served. Here, you'' get to take part in the mysterious Arctic Circle Ceremony.
After heading out on snowmobiles, you will go to the local husky camp to find out more about the dog sledding in the Arctic areas. As a highlight of the experience, you will get to ride in the sleigh pulled by a team of lively and sporty huskies. Warm drinks will be served at the same time as when you will listen to the stories about the dogs, their breeds, pedigrees and daily life in the kennel. Don't worry, you'll have a chance to pet the dogs and take a lot of photos.
On your return back to Rovaniemi, you will get to take a moment to relax and unwind with 45-minutes to rejuvenate in the soothing private sauna! Overnight stay at the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge.
Following breakfast, spend the day at your own leisure. With a variety of activities to choose from, talk to the staff at the hotel about what you can get up to in Rovaniemi. Some of our suggestions include visiting Santa Claus Village, the Arktikum Science Museum, or another safari into the Arctic Circle Wilderness. With a plethora of excursions and activities on offer, this winter wonderland is sure to excite! Overnight stay at the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge.
Day 6, 7 or 8: Rovaniemi - Departure
After breakfast, a shared transfer will be waiting to take you from your hotel to Rovaniemi Aiport. Board your return flight back to the UK with amazing memories of Lapland!
On Day 4, this tour should take about 4 hours, including preparations. The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 1 hour and 30 - 40 minutes. The average speed during the short tour is limited due to the safety and traffic regulations. Two adults will ride on one snowmobile. Children will travel in a sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile.

1-night stay in a Standard Room at the Original Hotel Sokos Presidentti 4* on a Bed and Breakfast Board Basis
The Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti 4* is ideally located next to the Kamppi Shopping Centre, close to the Parliament House. This hotel provides quick access to local cultural events, shopping, work meetings or visits to relatives. Families with children will love the Natural History Museum across the road, not to mention the hotel's playroom and swimming pool.
1-night stay in a Private Compartment on the Lapland Express Overnight Train on a Room Only Board Basis
3, 4 or 5-night stay in a Panorama Design Hut at the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge on a Half Board Basis

Please note: If any of these hotels are not available, hotels of a similar standard will be found. On the overnight train, children will share the compartment with their parents. They will also have to share one of the parents’ berth which is about 1 metre wide.
Your Journey to Finland —
Flights: You may choose from Economy, Premium or Business class flights on sectors that they operate, at the next stage of the booking process.
Please note: Non-stop flights from Gatwick to Rovaniemi will be on Wednesday and Sunday.
The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.
Transfers: Return shared transfers from Rovaniemi airport are included on the Wild Rovaniemi offer only (Offer 1).
On Offer 2, there are no transfers included in Helsinki. Shared transfer from the Rovaniemi Railway Station to accommodation, and shared transfer from accommodation to Rovaniemi Airport are included.
The overnight train is included from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. The train will depart from Helsinki at with 6 pm or 9 pm approx, arriving in Rovaniemi 12 hours later on the following morning (schedule subject to change). All phone numbers for emergency contacts for transfers will be included on the travel documents issues before departure.
