Fort Arabesque 4* —

This offer is based on an All Inclusive stay (Breakfast, lunch and evening meal with a selection of snacks and drinks).

With both indoor and outdoor seating, the hotel's main restaurant serves lavish breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets alongside live cooking and carving. Indulge in a varied meal then take advantage of the other facilities on offer. The beach bar is ideal for staying close to the lapping waves, where breakfast and lunch can be enjoyed alongside a nightly BBQ.

Again, located on the beach, Club 159 offers guests Brazilian BBQ food with live reggae music on a regular basis. Drinks on offer include cocktails, beers, wines and champagnes. In winter the Club 159 offers an a la carte candlelit dinner menu and live Jazz after 8 pm. Your Cruise Itinerary —

When opting to add the additional cruise, following your stay at Fort Arabesque 4*, you will enjoy a 7-night stay on one of the three boats listed below.

Day 1: Departure from Luxor
After being picked up at your hotel by your local representative, you will board your cruise ship in Luxor. Overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 2: Luxor - Edfu
Early in the morning you visit the East bank, the Karnak temple and the Luxor temple. In the afternoon you will sail to Edfu. Overnight on board in Edfu.

Day 3: Edfu - Aswan
Early in the morning you will sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Sobek Temple around 4 p.m. You then continue on to Aswan. Your dinner will be served after arrival around 9 p.m. Overnight on board in Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan
In the morning you will visit Aswan, the High Dam of Aswan and the Philea Temple. In the afternoon you are free to explore Aswan further or to take an optional excursion to the Nubian village. Overnight on board in Aswan.

Day 5: Aswan - Edfu
In the morning you can make an optional visit to the famous Abu Simbel temple in the south of Aswan or enjoy the sun on the sun deck. Around 2 pm you will sail back to Edfu, where you will arrive at 9 pm Overnight on board in Edfu.

Day 6: Edfu - Luxor
In the morning you will sail to Esna, where you will visit the temple of Khnum. Afterwards you can relax while sailing further downstream to Luxor. On arrival at 2.30 pm you can participate in an optional city tour in Luxor. Overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 7: Luxor
Today you will visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. In the evening you can optionally attend the sound and light show at the Karnak Temple. Overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 8: Departure
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport for your flight home.

Entry Requirements

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on.

British passport holders travelling to Egypt normally need a visa.

You can get a visa online at Visa2Egypt. Tourist visas granted using the e-visa system are valid for a maximum of 3 months. Although it’s still possible to get a tourist visa on arrival, it’s better to get one before you travel.

You can get a visa on arrival by payment in Sterling, US Dollars or Euros; the visa fee is US$25 at approved bank kiosks within airport arrival halls, before reaching immigration counters.

You may also get a visa from an Egyptian Consulate outside of Egypt before you travel. For further information and enquiries, contact the Egyptian Consulate in London.

Public Health England (PHE) has issued advice about E.coli prevention to people travelling to Egypt. This is after a of number travellers, including children, who all visited Hurghada in Egypt, returned with a serious illness caused by E. coli infection.

If you or a member of your party fall ill during your holiday, seek medical advice and report it to the reception, your travel provider, representative or their local agent. A copy of the Travellers Diarrhoea Factsheet can be accessed here.

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip.

There are reports of some hotel doctors overcharging for treatment and medicines. Examine your bill closely and challenge excessive charges. Pharmacies outside hotels will often supply medication at lower prices.
