Your Cruise Itinerary —

When opting to add the additional cruise, following your stay at the LABRANDA Royal Makadi 5*, you will enjoy a 7-night stay on one of the three boats listed below.

Please Note: The sequence and the timing of the below itinerary might change due to navigation circumstances but all included sights will be provided in all cases.

Day 1: Luxor (Nile Cruise)
After being met by your MeetingPoint rep at the hotel, take a transfer to the ship and embark on the cruise ship in Luxor. Overnight stay on board in Luxor.

Day 2: Luxor (Nile Cruise)
Take an early morning visit to the East Bank, the Karnak temple and the Luxor Temple. Enjoy lunch on the cruise. At noon, spend time sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Edfu.
Day 3: Nile Cruise
Enjoy early sailing at 9 am to Kom Ombo and visit Sobek Temple around 4 pm. Afterwards, sail to Aswan. After your arrival around 9 pm, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay on board in Aswan.

Day 4: Nile Cruise
Enjoy a early morning start by visiting Aswan, the High Dam and the Philea temple. Take an afternoon at leisure, giving you the chance to explore Aswan or try an (optional) excursion to the Nubian village. Overnight stay on board in Aswan.
Day 5: Nile Cruise
Enjoy an early morning (optional) visit to the famous temple of Abu Simbel in the south of Aswan, or just spend a relaxed morning on the sun deck. Enjoy sailing at 2 pm back north to Edfu and arrive around 9 pm for an overnight stay on board in Edfu.

Day 6: Nile Cruise
In the morning, sail to Esna on a visit that will take approx 10 hours. Visit the Temple of Khnum, and take time to relax and enjoy the cruise as you sail downstream to Luxor. After arrival at 2.30 pm, enjoy the possibility to join an (optional) city tour of Luxor. Overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 7: Nile Cruise
Enjoy a morning excursion to the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings, Hatschpust temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Take an evening visit to the sound and light show at Karnak temple (optional), and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay on board in Luxor.

Day 8: Nile Cruise
After breakfast on the cruise, transfer to the airport to for your return flight.

British passport holders travelling to Egypt normally need a visa.


You can get a visa online at Visa2Egypt. Tourist visas granted using the e-visa system are valid for a maximum of 3 months. Although it’s still possible to get a tourist visa on arrival, it’s better to get one before you travel.


You can get a visa on arrival by payment in Sterling, US Dollars or Euros; the visa fee is US$25 at approved bank kiosks within airport arrival halls, before reaching immigration counters. 


You may also get a visa from an Egyptian Consulate outside of Egypt before you travel. For further information and enquiries, contact the Egyptian Consulate in London.

Public Health England (PHE) has issued advice about E.coli prevention to people travelling to Egypt. This is after a of number travellers, including children, who all visited Hurghada in Egypt, returned with a serious illness caused by E. coli infection.

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip.
