Cairo

Cairo, Egypt’s sprawling capital, is a city where the past and present collide in a whirlwind of sounds, sights, and scents. A journey through its winding streets takes you from the hustle of busy souks to the calm of ancient mosques, while the Nile River seamlessly dissects the city. Behind the modern bustle, Cairo is overflowing with ancient history, where every corner tells a story that dates back thousands of years.

During your time in Cairo, you’ll have the chance to witness some of the world’s most iconic landmarks. Stand in awe before the Pyramids of Giza, whose sheer size and grandeur will leave you speechless. Just beyond, the mighty Sphinx watches over the desert, its enigmatic expression a symbol of Egypt’s timeless mystery. Venture further to the ancient capital of Memphis, home to colossal statues and the remnants of pharaohs' legacies, and discover the step pyramid of Sakkarah, a groundbreaking feat of ancient engineering.

ASwan

A peaceful oasis nestled along the Nile, Aswan offers a stark contrast to Egypt’s bustling cities, where the rhythm of daily life moves at a slower, more relaxed pace. With its Nubian culture, stunning landscapes, and tranquil atmosphere, this charming city is home to some of the country’s most iconic sites.

While in Aswan, you’ll experience the breathtaking Philae Temple, an ancient sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Isis, set on an island surrounded by the sparkling waters of the Nile. Discover the art of papyrus making at the Papyrus Institute, where skilled artisans preserve a centuries-old tradition that dates back to the pharaohs. To cap off your exploration, enjoy a leisurely boat ride around Kitchener Island, where lush gardens and vibrant flora offer a peaceful retreat and unforgettable views of the river and surrounding desert.

Luxor

Often referred to as the world’s greatest open-air museum, Luxor is a city where Egypt’s ancient history comes to life in the most spectacular ways. Nestled on the banks of the Nile, it’s a unique place where the grandeur of pharaohs, tombs, and temples fill the landscape.

Here you’ll step back in time as you visit the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs, including Tutankhamun, lie hidden in the desert cliffs. Marvel at the towering Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues that have stood watch over the west bank of the Nile for over 3,000 years. Explore the majestic Medinet Habu Temple, a striking monument to Ramses III, where intricate reliefs and towering pylons evoke the grandeur of ancient Egyptian architecture and history.

Hurghada (for 9 and 12 night tours only)

A dazzling destination on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, Hurghada is known for its incredible marine life and warm, crystal-clear waters. A haven for water sports enthusiasts and those looking to relax under the golden sun, whether you're diving into the coral-rich depths or simply enjoying the soothing rhythm of the waves.

Your all inclusive stay at the Jasmine Palace Resort & Spa 5*, ensures that every moment of relaxation is taken care of - whether you’re indulging in exquisite meals, refreshing drinks, or enjoying the resort's top-tier amenities. Whether you’re lounging by the shore, soaking up the sun, or taking a leisurely stroll along the beach, the soothing atmosphere invites you to unwind and embrace the serene beauty of Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

Your destinations

Cairo

A mesmerizing fusion of ancient wonders, bustling markets, and modern energy, Cairo is a city that pulses with history and life. Home to the last surviving wonder of the ancient world, the Egyptian capital offers a journey through time—from the towering Pyramids of Giza to the medieval streets of Islamic Cairo and the lively cafés along the Nile.

Must-sees:

  • Pyramids of Giza & the Sphinx: No trip to Cairo is complete without standing in awe before these iconic monuments, over 4,500 years old and still shrouded in mystery.
  • Egyptian Museum: Home to the legendary treasures of Tutankhamun, this vast collection of ancient artifacts provides a fascinating look into Egypt’s pharaonic past.
  • Coptic Cairo: Discover a different side of the city in this serene quarter, home to the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Culinary culture:

Egyptian cuisine is rich, flavorful, and deeply rooted in tradition. Try koshari, a beloved street food made of lentils, pasta, and spiced tomato sauce, or ful medames, a slow-cooked fava bean dish often enjoyed for breakfast. Freshly baked baladi bread pairs perfectly with dips like tahini and baba ghanoush. For a sweet treat, indulge in basbousa, a syrup-soaked semolina cake.Tea culture is strong in Cairo—enjoy a glass of karkadeh (hibiscus tea) or a classic mint tea in a traditional café.

Dive deeper:

For a different perspective of Cairo, take a felucca ride on the Nile at sunset, drifting past the city’s skyline. Explore the City of the Dead, a vast necropolis with a fascinating blend of history and daily life. For a modern contrast, visit Zamalek, an upscale island district filled with art galleries, trendy cafés, and lush gardens. Finally, if you have time, venture to Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid, the oldest pyramid ever built.

Good to know:

Cairo is a city best explored with patience and curiosity. Traffic is intense, but Uber and taxis are the easiest way to get around. The local currency is the Egyptian pound (EGP), and while many tourist spots accept cards, cash is preferred in markets and smaller shops.

Cairo is lively year-round, but visiting in the cooler months makes exploring more comfortable. The shoulder season (March-May and September-November) offers warm and sunny days, with June-August hot and dry. Seek the sparkling waters of your hotel pool, icy cocktails, or the refreshing air-conditioning of your room between sunbathing and exploring.
