Days 1 - 4
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo (on Monday or Wednesday)
Arrive in Cairo - Egypt's capital and one of the largest metropolises in the world, spanning both banks of the Nile.

Day 2: Cairo - Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara
Visit the Giza plateau and its incredible pyramids including the Pyramid of Khufu, built around 2650 BC and deemed one of the 7 wonders of Antiquity. Be sure to see the iconic Sphinx whose role was to protect the entrance to the tomb from looting.
In the afternoon, discover Memphis, the capital of the Old Kingdom, and Saqqara, renowned for its Step Pyramid which was built for King Djoser by the architect Imhotep.

Day 3: Cairo - Aswan (domestic flight included)
Arrive in Aswan, transfer from the airport to the port, before embarking and and settling into your cabin.
Visit the temple of Philae, an ancient island entirely dedicated to Isis that was once completely covered by water.
Take a mini-cruise in a felucca to the Kitchener or Elephantine islands and glide through the Nile's calm blue waters. Stop at Kitchener Island and visit its botanical gardens.
Visit a papyrus institute and observe the age-old techniques used in the manufacture of this material.

Day 4: Aswan - Kom Ombo
Early morning, you can opt to visit Abu Simbel, one of Egypt's most emblematic temples.
After lunch stop at the Small and High Dams of Aswan which offer spectacular panoramas over Lake Nasser, before continuing on to the Temple of Philae, an ancient island entirely dedicated to Isis.
Visit the temple of Kom Ombo - a unique temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek and Horus which features double halls, courts, and sanctuaries symmetrically placed on either side of the corridors.
Discover the chapel of Hathor, home to a number of crocodile mummies.

Days 5 - 8
Day 5: Edfu - Esna - Luxor
Arrive in Edfu and visit the temple of Horus - an architectural masterpiece and one of the best preserved sites in all of Ancient Egypt.

Day 6: Luxor - Cairo
After breakfast on board, set off to discover the left bank of the Nile: the city of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings - home to the tombs of the greatest pharaohs from the 18th to the 20th dynasties.
Enjoy a photo break to immortalise the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues sculpted from sandstone, bearing witness to the former splendour of the temple of Amenophis III. Visit the Temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu, one of the most spectacular temples in Ancient Egypt.
