Ayia Napa, once a mere fishing village within the Famagusta region, has grown into one of the most popular tourist resorts in Europe. This historical region has a huge offering of culture and art with beautiful churches and intriguing museums to drink in the local history. Visitors are encouraged to go to Thalassa Museum with its lifesize replica of the “Kyrenia II” from 400 BC. The town centre is built around a medieval monastery, preserved over the centuries and a visit here is like stepping back in time. 

 

A number of pleasure cruises depart from here, as well as fishing boat trips for those interested in deep-sea fishing. Home to several of the 14 beaches of the area that have been awarded the European Union Blue Flag for cleanliness, Ayia Napa’s reputation has spread worldwide!
