Split’s cuisine reflects its Mediterranean roots. Seafood reigns, with dishes like peka (slow-cooked meat and vegetables) and soparnik (a chard-filled pie). For a lighter bite, try brudet (fish stew) or grilled sardines. Pair your meal with local wine from Pelješac or sweet Prošek dessert wine.
