Your Itinerary —
DAY 1 : UK - Dubrovnik
Fly to Dubrovnik and on arrival, relax with a convenient transfer to your hotel. If time allows, enjoy a taster visit of walled Dubrovnik Old Town or relax at your hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, set off on a guided morning sightseeing tour of UNESCO-listed Dubrovnik Old Town, sometimes referred to as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic'. Admire the green-shuttered stone townhouses, delve into the cobbled lanes and hidden squares, and stretch your legs along the beautiful Stradun - the old city's central, marble-paved street. Visit the Rector's Palace and Franciscan Monastery, with its historic Pharmacy, and admire Dubrovnik Cathedral, an impress Baroque basilica with origins dating to the days of Richard the Lionheart. Afterward, hop inside your air-conditioned coach and soak up the epic scenery of the Adriatic Coast and Neretva River delta on an afternoon drive to Split, where you stay overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of history-steeped Split, Croatia's second-largest city. Explore the wonderful UNESCO-listed gem that is the Roman Palace of Diocletian which meanders through the maze-like lanes and squares of this former Roman fortress, imperial residence and walled town built between the 3rd and 4th centuries. Marvel at the Peristyle, the palace's central courtyard, see the Cathedral, and take in the stunning remains of the Temple of Jupiter as your guide unravels the stories behind the palace-combined-town and Diocletian, the Roman Emperor who commissioned its construction.
After you've explored, rejoin your coach and travel to Trogir, a picture-perfect medieval harbour town. Admire the imposing St Lawrence Cathedral before travelling to Zadar, a pretty coastal city crammed onto a small Adriatic peninsula, for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, your morning brings a fascinating guided tour of Zadar, best known for its Roman and Venetian ruins, including several Venetian town gates. Walk around the crumbled walls, columns and streets of the Roman Forum, and see its famous Pillar of Shame, where medieval wrongdoers were pilloried. Make your way to neighbouring St Donatus Church, home to two columns from the forum. In the afternoon, depart for Croatia's capital, Zagreb for a one-night stay.

Today, start with breakfast and then embark on a morning city tour of Zagreb. Here, handsome 18th and 19th century Austro-Hungarian architecture meshes with communist-era monoliths, medieval landmarks and a vibrant culture. With your guide, explore the charming, fortified Upper Town and view the splendid, twin-spired Zagreb Cathedral, St Mark's Church with its colourful tiled roof, the handsome Croatian National Theatre, the University and other highlights. Later, relax on an afternoon drive south to Plitvice, home to the spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Day 6 : Plitvice Lakes National Park
After breakfast, grab your camera for a full day of exploring in the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage site that is Croatia's Plitvice Lakes National Park. Considered one of Europe's natural jewels, this densely forested park is famed for its 16 terraced, luminous-blue lakes linked by rushing waterfalls and dotted with natural caves. Enjoy a guided tour and free time to explore, perhaps looking out for the rich array of wildlife and bird species that make this idyllic place home. Afterward, return to your hotel near the park. NOTE: Sturdy walking shoes are required as this excursion incurs extended periods of walking across uneven surfaces.

Depart Plitvice for Dubrovnik after breakfast and along the way, admire the views. On arrival in Dubrovnik, enjoy a little free time return to your hotel for dinner in the evening.
