Your Destinations —
New York City
See a smash show at one of the 39 landmark theatres that make up Broadway or enjoy one of the 12 art organisations that perform at legendary Lincoln Centre.
And of course, there is shopping. Explore Fifth and Madison Avenues for top name department stores and world-class designer boutiques. The five boroughs of New York City boast 14 miles of public beach, The Bronx Zoo, the New York Botanical Gardens and more than 28,000 acres of park land.
Amish Country
Washington DC
Get your bearings by wandering from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol Building along the 2-mile centrepiece National Mall, home to the majority of the city's 17 Smithsonian museums. The cast-iron dome of the Capitol marks the geographic heart of the city, from where all neighbourhoods radiate outwards. The historic Capitol Building recently took pride of place, draped in flags, during President Barack Obama's inauguration public ceremony and parade, the day after he was sworn in for his second term in office as the USA's 44th President.
With a population of just 600,000, Washington DC is smaller than almost any major capital city you can think of, making it easily navigable on foot, by bike or via its easy Metro system.
Beyond all the glittering white marble and neoclassical architecture, shopping and entertainment options abound. Georgetown and Dupont Circle both offer stylish stores and speciality boutiques of the mainstream and indie variety, with a buzzing dining and nightlife scene, or sample local produce and people-watch at the Eastern Market in Capitol Hill. Further north, Adams Morgan brims with coffee shops, bookstores and galleries and caters to a young, hip crowd.
Music and theatre are huge, with venues like The Kennedy Centre and Warner Theatre attracting large audiences. Free summer concerts and a year-round calendar of festivals add to the rich culture of the city.
Philadelphia
Spend a day exploring its buildings, including the hall itself, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, and you must get a snap of the Liberty Bell. Run up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, just like Sylvester Stallone did!
Away from INHP there's much to discover in this cosmopolitan city, voted America's friendliest. In Old City, walk America's oldest residential street, Elfreth Alley. In Center City, ascend City Hall to the observation deck for great views. Hit Chinatown for a great value lunch, and at Reading Terminal Market watch the Amish farmers sell their produce. Stroll past the pristine historic homes of Society Hill, with its cobbled streets lit by gas lamps. South Street is the city's prime nightlife district, packed with bars, restaurants, cafés and clubs.

Your Visa
If you are travelling to the USA or choose a flight option with a US layover, the US authorities have introduced a requirement for passengers travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP), to register for Electronic Travel Authority. Passengers who have not applied for and received travel authorisation via ESTA prior to travel may be denied boarding, experience delayed processing, or be denied admission at the US port of entry. However, neither possession of a visa, nor meeting the basic requirements for travelling visa-free on the VWP, guarantees admission to the United States. As with most countries, the final determination of admissibility is made by immigration officials at the port of entry. Please remember that issue of ESTA does not guarantee admissibility to the United States - it is only part of the travel approval process. All queries in relation to this requirement should be addressed via the US Embassy Consular department.
Please remember that if you are refused boarding or denied admission at the US port of entry, you will still be subject to our cancellation charges in accordance with the terms of our contract with you.
How do I apply for ESTA?
There is an online application form which is available now at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov. Prior to travel, you will need to visit this website and fill in the on-line application (currently in English only).
