DAY 1: ARRIVE IN BOSTON
Arrive in Boston, a bustling city with a vibrant cultural scene and well-known landmarks.
Most areas of Boston can be easily explored on foot. Spend some time walking the Freedom Trail, which highlights the city's most important historic sites, including Faneuil Hall, the Paul Revere House, the Old State House, Copley Square, Trinity Church and the Hancock Tower.

DAY 2: BOSTON
You will continue your exploration of Boston. Other notable sites include the Boston Common, the site of the Boston Tea Party, the Old North Church and the Bunker Hill Monument.
Visit the famous Harvard University in Cambridge, just across the Charles River. While in Boson, we also recommend you take a whale-watching cruise on a high-speed catamaran (April-October), or spend some time at the New England Aquarium.

DAY 3: PORTLAND / MID COAST MAINE
A scenic drive along the coast takes you north through Salem (site of the famous witch trial of 1694), Marblehead, Ipswich and Newburyport.
From there, it's on to Kennebunkport, Maine. Kennebunkport is a shipbuilding and coastal trading town, founded in 1620. In Portland, a historic city with a charming restored waterfront, you'll visit the Old Port which is located directly on Casco Bay, and sample a world-famous Maine lobster.

Day 4 : Portland - Bar Harbor
Bar Harbor is the entrance to Acadia National Park on Desert Mount Island. Acadia National Park encompasses more than 47,000 acres of protected lakes, ponds, mountains and ocean shoreline along the Maine coast.
Steep slopes rise above the rocky coastline, including Cadillac Mountain which, at 1,530 feet, is the highest point on the Atlantic coast of the United States. Enjoy the park's stunning scenery and mountain trails.

DAY 5: BAR HARBOR
Take advantage of this day to explore more of Acadia National Park. Go on a scenic hike, hire mountain bikes to explore the park by bike or discover it from the water on a kayak tour.

DAY 6 BELFAST/ BAR HARBOR - WHITE MOUNTAINS - LITTLETON
Today you will drive through the magnificent White Mountain National Forest. Set against a backdrop of over 700,000 acres of protected national forest, White Mountain National Forest boasts the highest peak in the East, Mount Washington (6,288 feet).
Visitors to the North Conway, New Hampshire area can choose from a wide range of activities, including a train ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad.

DAY 7: WHITE MOUNTAINS - LITTLETON
The Kancamagus Scenic Byway follows a magnificent path through the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
A breathtaking spectrum of colours highlights the natural beauty of the region throughout the year. The route winds through vast forests, ancient logging roads and Indian hunting trails.

Day 8 : White Mountains - Green Mountains
On your way to Vermont, treat yourself to an ice cream at the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory. Admire classic New England landscapes and architecture from a mountain range, and winding river to hilltop farms and picturesque villages.
Drive to Burlington, on the shores of Lake Champlain, and visit Woodstock, a charming New England village with traditional shops and covered bridges. Then head along the Great Scenic Byway with its white-towered churches, winding roads and picturesque towns.

DAY 10: GREEN MOUNTAINS - STURBRIDGE
The village of Manchester is an ideal place to stop en route. Visit the Shaker village of Hancock, a restored 19th-century establishment. Continue south through the Berkshires to Sturbridge.

Day 11 : Sturbridge - Newport
US Route 20 crosses southern Massachusetts from Sturbridge and the Blackstone River Valley to Newport, Rhode Island. Continue to Newport, the summer home of America's first millionaires.

DAY 12: NEWPORT
This beautifully situated town was dubbed "America's first seaside resort" after many of America's wealthiest people built magnificent summer homes here at the turn of the century. Today, many of these homes are museums that can be visited. Newport is also a great place for a walk. You can take the Harbor Walk North and Harbor Walk South, both of which leave from Perrotti Park, and the Cliff Walk, which follows the coastline and cliffs.

DAY 13: NEWPORT - CAPE COD
Today you will travel to Cape Cod. Hyannis lies on the south coast of the formation and overlooks idyllic Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, both of which are well worth a visit.
We recommend a visit to the artistic town of Provincetown, located at the northern tip of Cape Cod, about 49 miles north of Hyannis. It is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and known for its beautiful beaches and sand dunes.

DAY 14: CAPE COD

Time permitting, we recommend a stop at Sandwich, the oldest town on the Cape, on the way back to Boston, and a visit to Plymouth's Plimoth Plantation for a real-life experience of the Pilgrim and colonial era in the 17th century, where you can also see the Mayflower II.
