Day 1: Punta Sal
In the municipality of Tela lies Punta Sal National Park, found amidst a colourful coral reef, aqua waters, lush green jungle and white sandy coves that follow the coastline.
Inland, the tropical forest unfurls into a real reserve for wildlife which you can explore in a boat that will take you through mangroves, lagoons and rivers.

DAY 2: GUANAJA
The island of Guanaja is a little-known paradise and boasts a postcard-perfect setting of verdant vegetation and idyllic deserted beaches, as well as unique encounters with the local population of Bonacca (also known as The Cay).
Off the coast, the wildest and most remote of the Bay Islands is where you will find stunning coral reefs to explore.
Cruise through dense mangrove forests by boat and hike into the rainforest, home to majestic waterfalls and exotic bird species, with your naturalist guide.

DAY 3: CAYOS COCHINOS
Lying northeast of La Ceiba, the Bay Islands are surrounded by a sea of azure, turquoise and ceylon blues.
The archipelago Les Cayos Cochinos is part of this and is situated on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, where coral gardens teeming with tropical fish make up the underwater scenery.

DAY 4: Cuero y Salado
Located on the estuaries of three rivers in Honduras, Cuero y Salado National Park is a real refuge for wildlife.
Glide through lush mangroves by boat as the forest bursts into an explosion of birdsong, and monkeys swing from branch to branch. You may also get the chance to spot turtles and caimans.

DAY 5: WATER CAYE, ISLA UTILA
The Bay Islands archipelago is home to stunning cays and sheltered coral islets with warm, crystal-clear waters.
Off the island of Utila, white-sand beaches lined with coconut trees and the reefs of the deserted islet Water Caye make the perfect backdrop to your swimming stop.

DAY 6: Placencia
Placencia beckons travellers with its idyllic beaches and the blue Caribbean Sea.
A former fishing village, it captures an Afro-Caribbean spirit with brightly-coloured traditional houses and enchanting scenery. The stunning lagoon is also home to manatees, saltwater crocodiles and dolphins.

DAY 7: HALF MOON CAVE
The tropical green crescent of Half Moon Caye is a natural monument of Belize and forms part of the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Corals, sponges, sea turtles, spotted eagle rays and eels live in the turquoise waters while on land the coastal forest is populated by geckos and a large colony of red-footed boobies.

DAY 8: BELIZE CITY
Belize City is the former capital and the country’s largest town. Located on the Caribbean Sea, this lively little town symbolises the fusion of British, Spanish and Maya cultures.
Flights depart here to fly over the incredible Great Blue Hole and it also makes the ideal base for trips to see Maya architecture, like the mysterious ruins of temples and palaces at Lamanai and Xunantunich.
