Please Note: Thanks to the benefit of your included car hire, you will be able to travel to many other parks and cities during your stay if you so wish.
Los Angeles is America's second largest city and a popular holiday destination thanks to its year-round mild weather, healthy outdoors lifestyle and glamorous reputation. The city is home to many famous attractions in a relatively concentrated space. Your choices include amusement parks, architectural landmarks, art museums and galleries, beaches, parks, hiking and shopping, to name a few. LA’s lifeblood is the film industry, of which you’ll find plenty of evidence all over town - the star-studded Hollywood walk of fame on Hollywood Boulevard, Downtown's historic movie palaces, and celebrities strolling the Sunset Strip on the way to hip clubs and restaurants.
This incredible package includes a stay in Las Vegas, globally synonymous with glamorous casinos, rock-star luxury and a 24-hour excess that has become a brand in its own right. Experience the world’s most iconic structures in miniature when you walk the Strip, from the Pyramids of Egypt at Luxor, or the Statue of Liberty at New York, New York; to the beautiful Eiffel Tower at Paris and romantic canals at the Venetian - you can explore the world in a couple of hours!
Complete with 400 miles of stunning coastline, more than 300 days of sunshine a year, and a unique mix of tranquil waters, rugged mountains, and tons of fun, Lake Havasu offers something for guests of all ages and needs. Here, everywhere you look, opportunities for hiking, biking, boating, fishing, golfing, offroading, shopping and dining can be found, ensuring a holiday experience in a diverse and welcoming environment.
A visit to the Grand Canyon is an unforgettable experience. The famous gorges, 450 km long and up to 30 km wide, are one of the most important natural wonders attracting approximately 4 million visitors from around the world annually. Discover the canyon on horseback, on foot, by helicopter or via a small plane. Layers of sand, limestone and Schist create its unique appearance and the ever-shifting light from the sun and shadow create wonderfully colourful images.
Monument Valley, with its characteristic red table mountains, is truly a sight to behold. Created over thousands of years by the power of wind and water, it has long overwhelmed its visitors not only by its beauty but also its size. The fragile pinnacles of rock are surrounded by miles of mesas and buttes, shrubs, trees and windblown sand, all combining to create the magnificent colours of the valley.
The visually spectacular Lake Powell stretches across both northern Arizona and southern Utah. It's part of the Colorado River and lies within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Boasting almost 2,000 miles of shoreline, year-round sunshine, and some of the most spectacular scenery in the western USA, Lake Powell is an ideal holiday escape. Officially the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States, it is visited by roughly 2 million tourists every year, who travel with the hopes of boating, fishing, waterskiing and jet-skiing.
The Bryce Canyon National Park is located in the south west of the state Utah at an altitude of 2,400 to 2,700m. Despite the name, it is not actually a canyon but a giant amphitheatre. It was created by wind, water, and ice eroding the edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, producing millions of pink rock pinnacles. These so-called "hoodoos" are up to almost 60m in height and create a spectacular colourful show. The yellow, brown and red hues in the limestone are due to the abundance of iron in this region.
Complete with a history that spans hundreds of millions of years, at the Zion National Park, you'll be able to walk the path of ancient natives and pioneers. One of the greenest stops on your travels, here, you'll have the opportunity to view numerous plants species, along 289 species of birds, 75 of mammals and 32 of reptiles. Gaze up at awe-inspiring sandstone cliffs that soar into a bright blue sky, and experience true American wilderness from the canyons. Zion’s unique charms will take your breath away as you absorb the rich history of the past and enjoy the excitement of present-day adventures.
Death Valley is the lowest, driest and hottest area in North America. Its landscape is arid but also colourful with beautiful sand dunes, wild canyons, and snow-white mountain peaks. The rain clouds rarely pass the mountains but when a few drops of rain fall on the desert it turns into a blossoming garden. Despite the harsh environmental conditions, there are more than 1,000 different plants in the park, which have managed to adapt. After the sun sets, the temperature drops rapidly in the dry air.
Sequoia trees continue to impress visitors due to both their size and history in the Sequoia National Park. Located in Visalia, the area is said to be one of the most important agricultural trade markets in the well-known Central Valley. Surrounded by groves of the world's largest living things, there's something truly magical about the Sequoia National Park.
