Your Destinations —
Labelled as the nation's 'Mother Road' by John Steinbeck, you'll take in the best of America in bite-sized chunks. From small-town outback villages to gaudy glitz, retro Americana to cowboys and Indians, sizzling jazz riffs to country and western twangs and spectacular canyons to white sandy beaches, Route 66 covers it all.
You'll kick-start your trip in the 'Windy City' of Chicago, where you'll spend two nights. Take in the city's vibrant arts scene, cutting edge restaurants and long sandy beaches, before you laze by Lake Michigan with an expanse of skyscrapers as your backdrop.
You'll then belt up and head for the beer, baseball, jazz and good-time vibes of St. Louis, stopping en-route for a night in Springfield. Afterwards, you'll drive into the vibrant red dust of Oklahoma, where you'll experience American cowboy culture and country and western life.
Head to the beautiful mountain city of Flagstaff in the alpine air, before departing for the bright lights of Vegas where you'll stop in the heart of Sin City. Take a visit to the spectacular Grand Canyon or soak up the casinos, mega-shows and drive-in chapels.
