The rented vehicle must be picked up in downtown Vancouver on D3 (the exact address will be communicated via the vouchers in the travel documents sent by the supplier after booking).
Important information on car hire:
Minimum age: The minimum age for renting a car is 21.
Young driver supplement: A driver under the age of 25 cannot be a secondary driver, but must be the main driver.
If you are under 25 years of age, you are not allowed to rent or drive the following categories: Luxury, Specialty, Minivan, Van, Full-Size SUV and Premium SUV.
A valid driving licence of at least one year issued by the country of origin must be presented when renting.
All drivers under 25 years of age will be subject to a surcharge of $25.00 to $35.00 + tax per day, subject to change according to location.
Bail amount to be paid on site: Between $300 and $500 depending on the category of the vehicle;

Validity of driving licence: a driving licence from the country of origin valid for more than one year must be presented.
If the driving licence from the country of origin does not have an English or French translation that enables our agents to clearly identify the person, the category of vehicle he or she is authorised to drive and the restrictions imposed, the customer must also present an international driving licence issued in the same jurisdiction.
Credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS type - no debit cards accepted) in the driver's name: The credit card used for the deposit must be in the same name as the main driver. The magnetic strip must not be defective, otherwise Avis reserves the right to retain the rental car. Prepaid credit cards will not be accepted.

This protection covers collision (for property damage to the vehicle in the event of an accident) or loss of the vehicle (fire, theft, vandalism). In all cases, a police report or friendly complaint must be submitted to Avis;
1) When you rent a car with AVIS, you are required by law to pay a deductible regardless of whether or not you are responsible for the accident or breakdown.
However, in the event of irresponsible driving (gross negligence, excessive speed, failure to obey a red light or stop sign, etc.) or dangerous driving (e.g. under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the insurance is automatically cancelled and the driver becomes responsible for ALL DAMAGE caused to the vehicle.

These conditions are decided by the landlord and we cannot change them.
I suggest you check with your credit card company or your insurer in Europe if you have additional coverage in this regard.

Fuel:
Fuel is the responsibility of the driver who must return the vehicle with the initial fuel level.
The vehicle must be returned to the branch with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle has not been refuelled, a charge of $3.69/litre and a full tank of fuel will be charged.
Please note: The one-way fee between Vancouver and Calgary for car rental is excluded from the price (estimated at around $500)
