Farthings boasts extensive orchards, producing figs, apples, cherries, medlars, grapes, quinces, pears, cobnuts, sweet chestnuts, walnuts, mulberries, raspberries, rhubarb, apricots, plums and herbs. All surplus fruits go into jam and ice-cream production, alongside jus, gravies and coulis.
The hotel rear their own pigs and a flock of free-range Norfolk Bronze Turkeys. The home-cured Gravadlax here is excellent and the hotel also smoke their own salmon, chicken, duck and pork!
A local family butcher carefully matures, cuts and delivers the very finest of produce from local farms, some just a mile from Farthings. The hotel fishmonger is based close by at West-Bay Bridport. The scallops are from nearby Lyme Bay and mussels from the River Fowey in Cornwall!

Take the M5, junction 25 and join the A358. Go through Henlade and travel for approximately 1 mile then turn left signed Hatch Beauchamp. Signposts on the A358 clearly signpost the Farthings Hotel & Restaurant.
From the A303, at Ilminster take the A358 to Taunton, travel approximately 5 miles, turn right signed Hatch Beauchamp.
