Take a walk into the town of Richmond-upon-Thames and you will pass some exquisite antique and designer shops and the galleries of Richmond Hill. In the centre is Richmond Green, with its elegant Victorian theatre and beautiful riverside where you can take a boat trip along the Thames.
Make sure to visit Richmond Terrace, where the magnificent view across the Thames Valley has, for centuries been an inspiration for poets and painters. There is also 2,500 acres of Richmond Royal Park, home to herds of red and fallow deer. Head out a bit further to visit the attractions of West London and Surrey, including Twickenham Rugby Ground, Wimbledon Tennis, Wembley Stadium, Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace.
Central London is also not far away where you will find superb sightseeing, famous shopping streets and the most incredible choice of concerts and theatres, galleries and museums.
