The Roseate Reading 5* —
The Roseate Reading 5* is perfectly located just a 6-minute walk from Reading train station, making it ideally accessible for guests. The hotel is a beautiful, striking townhouse recognised for its luxurious decor and artful conception.
The Roseate Reading was originally Shire Hall for the Berkshire County Council. The building, along with its wide hallways, vaulted ceilings, cornice mouldings and the original lift shaft, have all been precisely restored to their original glory
Guests can enjoy the classic, vibrant details in the interior decorative style including the 86,000 Italian-glass beads chandelier, the centrepiece of the building.

Each of the Roseate Executive Suites are adorned with original artwork, have a king-size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, a comfortable sofa for relaxing, underfloor heating and a Nespresso machine. The Roseate Executive Suite ensuite boasts luxury amenities by Penhaligon, a deep-set bath and a monsoon shower. Please note that not every room has a copper bath.

There are also Summer Screen in the Ruins evenings where you can enjoy watching a film in this enchanting space.
Other highlights of the town include the Reading Museum where you can further your historical knowledge and the lovely natural areas such as Caversham Court and Prospect Park.There are also plenty of shops and restaurants throughout the town.
Head out and follow the Thames Path to explore the charming villages and quaint houses that sit along the waterways. Get back to nature at the View Island where you will find some enchanting secluded spots and a few tree stumps carved into faces!
