Originally known as Holbeck Cottage and dating back to the 19th-century when it formed part of the Earl of Lonsdale’s Estate, Briery Wood 4* is a charming hotel with abundant character. Nestled in-between Ambleside and Windermere, guests can enjoy strolling through the stunning surrounding landscape with beautiful lakes and fells on your doorstep.


Relax into the comfortable interiors of the cosy lounge or dine in the two AA Rosette awarded restaurant with tender Herdwick lamb and freshly caught trout among the flavour-packed dishes on the menu.
