Situated in the historic town of Dornoch, this beautiful castle hotel offers visitors an immersive escape for an atmospheric Scottish getaway. This family-run boutique boasts an award-winning whisky bar, an à la carte restaurant and walled gardens - perfect to enjoy a breath of fresh air and afternoon coffee. Expect dramatic interiors in keeping with the Jacobean style, antique furnishings and lashings of tartan!
Located opposite the inspiring 12th-century Dornoch Cathedral and within the town centre, the hotel is nicely positioned to encourage guests to head out and explore the local area, and of course return to the cosy ambience between the castle walls for a dram of the family's whisky.

SUPERIOR ROOM
Each Superior Room boasts its own unique style, and offers an ensuite with either a walk-in shower or a shower over bath. Located in the depths of the old castle or in the modern extension, these rooms showcase views over the walled gardens or Dornoch Cathedral.

DELUXE ROOM
Opt for a Deluxe Room and immerse yourself in the true Highland style of the castle. Located in the oldest part of the castle, each room boasts its own character, and features four-poster beds, either an open fire (The Courtroom) or wood burning stove (The Tower Room), and steamy jacuzzi baths.

Dornoch Castle Hotel offers a fantastic location with the benefit of incredible scenery, soft yellow sands and fresh North Seawater of Dornoch Beach just a 10-minute walk away!
The hotel family now runs their own distillery, an organic microdistillery within the Old Fire House in the garden. Visitors can taste their handcrafted ‘old style’ whisky at the bar.
