From family home to military base, this regal 19th-century country house certainly has a story to tell, with the first mention of a manor house at Latimer being recorded as early as 1194 AD. The region’s sloping hills and ancient woodlands has long attracted walkers and ramblers with its promise of epic landscapes and incredible wildlife.
You must also make sure you take the time to soak in the bustling market towns steeped in history and traditional English culture. Nearby, you can discover the towns of Chesham, Amersham, High Wycombe and Tring, in addition to the quaint villages of Little Missenden, Great Missenden, Berkhamsted and Gerrards Cross.
