This former coaching inn-turned quaint country hotel is the perfect place for a tranquil break in Snowdonia National Park. The Royal Oak Hotel 3* offers plenty of dining opportunities at its two restaurants, as well as the opportunity to try the facilities at the nearby Stations Leisure Centre, which offers a pool, gym, and salon. All rooms are individually styled with charming furnishings and plenty of useful amenities, and you can relax at the end of each day at the hotel's cosy Lounge bar, which is the perfect place for a cocktail or snack.

A little further afield, the Adventure Parc Snowdonia is the place to try surfing, rock climbing, and mountain biking, all among beautiful countryside scenery.

Of course, no trip to Snowdonia would be complete without tackling Wales' tallest mountain - every year more than 350,000 people walk, climb or take the train to the 1085m summit of Snowdon, and you could be one of them!
