Beginning in cosmopolitan Dublin, you will have the chance to visit some of the Emerald Isle's most famous sights - kiss the Blarney stone, visit a whiskey distillery and marvel at the beautiful Killarney Lakes.
Your Itinerary —
Day 1: UK - Dublin
Fly to Dublin and transfer to your hotel. At 3 pm, meet your Tour Director and travelling companions for an afternoon orientation drive through statue-lined O'Connell Street and elegant Georgian squares to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Trinity College. Perhaps this evening join an optional Irish cabaret that includes dinner, dance, song and laughter.
This morning head to Northern Ireland. On the journey northwards pass Drogheda, scene of the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, then through the fertile landscape of the Boyne Valley, known for its prehistoric passage graves. Cross the border into Northern Ireland and drive past the Mountains of Mourne to Downpatrick, the burial place of Patrick, Ireland's Patron Saint and on to the vibrant city of Belfast. The Titanic was built here and this afternoon you might like to join a Local Guide on a “living history” tour including a visit to the fascinating Titanic Experience.

First stop this morning is Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Let the province's story unfold as the tour continues to Derry. Next, continue to Drumcliff, a village in county Sligo, before heading to your hotel.

Continue this morning to Knock, a village that has attracted pilgrims from all over the world since the townsfolk saw apparitions. Then to Galway, a popular seaside destination and buzzing cosmopolitan centre with colourful shops, busy cafes and bars. Cross the limestone plateau of The Burren to visit the spectacular 668 ft Cliffs of Moher.

Travelling past Limerick, head to Adare, a village known for it's prize-winning thatched cottages. At Killorglin, join the road known as the Ring of Kerry for a 100 mile coastal panoramic drive, sparkling seascapes, mountains dotted with brightly coloured farmhouses, winding lanes bordered with subtropical vegetation and spectacular views of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View.

You will be greeted by breathtaking scenery this morning on the Dingle Peninsula, where the 32-mile Slea Head drive affords magnificent vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. See the Blasket Islands and hear about the way of life and unique literary achievements of it's inhabitants prior to their evacuation in 1953.
Back in Killarney, there is the opportunity to take a horse drawn jaunting car along the national park lakeshore for scenes of Ross Castle. This evening, perhaps join another optional excursion to Tralee for dinner and a performance at Siamsa Tire, Ireland's National Folk Theatre.

Today, there is more scenic splendor as you travel over the Kerry Mountains into County Cork. Stop in Blarney, famous for its Stone of Eloquence, with time at leisure to see the castle and perhaps shop for Irish crafts and handmade crystal. After lunch (not included) drive past Cork, the country's second largest city on the way to Waterford.
Enjoy a guided tour of the House of Waterford Crystal. Spend the rest of the afternoon is at the nearby seaside resort of Tramore. Later, an optional pub tour might be fun.

Some of the highlights today include, Enniscorthy, site of the final battle of the Great Rebellion of 1798, a visit to Ireland's oldest hand-weaving Mill at Avoca, views of the Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough, with its ruins of a centre of Irish Christianity, founded by St. Kevin.
Arrive in Dublin tonight where there is an optional dinner evening at the Guinness Storehouse available.

Day 9: Dublin - UK
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
