New Voyage Privé

Carefully selected by our experts especially for you

I have always admired what "our elders" did, who did not have the facilities we have today (equipment, information, transport, etc.). Setting myself challenges is my way of life! My operation is simple: dream as soon as I can, think a lot, set a goal and give myself the means to achieve it. And without a doubt the road ahead will inspire me for the future!

A Truly Unique Experience Awaits

Have you always dreamed of pushing your limits? Well then we have what you need! Head for Sweden and set off on a truly breathtaking adventure, the time of a crossing with polar accents in the heart of Lapland! This trip is reserved for regular athletes in good physical condition and practicing a sporting activity at least once a week, having the desire to surpass themselves on sometimes long efforts but sometimes needing rest between activities. A good skier, comfortable on red or black slopes, you must know how to ski with a backpack of about 6 kg and be able to ski for 4 to 5 hours a day. It is important to have already practiced kite skiing several times, knowing how to immobilize your kite at noon in all wind conditions and knowing how to untangle lines with help.

Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will have the pleasure of spending 2 nights in the train (bunk bed), 8 nights in tents and 2 nights in a lodge (dormitories), the assurance of a unique stay. Stop dreaming and fall for surpassing oneself!

Meeting with your tour guide

During your adventure, you will be accompanied by Julien, 36, guide-guide, alpine hunter, technical advisor and survival expert.

An 18-year career in the Army, in the Mountain Troops and then in the Special Forces led this outstanding adventurer to the four corners of the world, forcing him to adapt to all environments, difficult or hostile. Today he devotes his “second life” to what has always animated him: adventure, travel, sport and discovery.
Placing human adventure above all else, Julien cultivates and claims versatility by being passionate about everything that is out of the ordinary: from a ski raid to a paragliding flight, from an icefall to a session kitesurfing, from climbing a summit to scuba diving, setting yourself challenges is her way of life!

His perfect knowledge of the mountains and of survival will be a major asset in enabling you to uncover all the secrets of this exceptional place. A unique adventure awaits you!

Your Adventure

Do you feel ready to push your limits and embark on a 150 km crossing in the heart of Lapland, in ski touring, pulka & kite sailing? Go for 13 days / 12 nights in the company of Julien, for a breathtaking, demanding and intense experience, reserved for those who are not afraid to tolerate polar cold for a long time. Your guide will offer you a carefully selected route, combining ski touring and Kite skiing, on which you will cover 15 kilometers per day, on a vertical drop of about 200 meters.

If you are not comfortable kiting, it is possible to do this expedition by being towed behind someone during the distances covered with the sail.

Explora Project will provide you with a selection of equipment including bivouac equipment and travel equipment (pulka, kite sail). Let yourself be charmed by exceptional landscapes and set off to conquer the snow-covered lands of Sweden!

Your Itinerary

Between summits and valleys, between frozen lake and ice desert, between wild queens and northern lights. We will cover an average of 15 to 20 km per day with the possibility of taking out the kite sails if the wind conditions allow it and thus increase the mileage and the possibilities of exploration. All nights take place independently in an expedition tent
Day 10: 12 kilometres - Elevation  100m + / 300m
Arrival in Saltaluokta on Monday afternoon. Warm night at the lodge by the lake. Moment of relaxation around a warm meal, a bastu (sauna) and wild landscapes before returning quietly to civilization.

Travel Advice

For the latest travel advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office including security and local laws, plus passport and visa information please click here.

Please note that the advice can change, and you should continue to check all advice until you travel.

Entry Requirements

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on.

If your passport describes you as a British Citizen, you do not need a visa to enter Sweden. For non-British citizens, you should check the current entry requirements on the website of the Foreign Ministry and if necessary, confirm with the Swedish Embassy.

Health

For information about important health advice and any vaccinations required please visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip. In the event that you are referred to a medical facility for treatment, you should contact your insurance/medical assistance company immediately.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance.

Brexit

If you are travelling to the EU, the UK government recommends that you have six months left on your passport on the date of your arrival to an EU country. You should also check when your passport was renewed.

If you renewed a 10-year adult passport before it expired, extra months may have been added to your passport’s expiry date. These extra months over 10 years will not count towards the 6 months that must be remaining. The UK Government has published a website tool to check the validity of your passport under these rules: https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/check-a-passport

You can renew your passport online or by going to a Post Office with a Check and Send service: https://www.gov.uk/renew-adult-passport/renew

If your passport does not meet the criteria for third-country nationals, you may be denied entry to any of the Schengen area countries.

Please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/passport-rules-for-travel-to-europe-after-brexit for further information.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Please note: Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the UK Government is currently requesting that all travellers returning to the UK, (with exceptions), must provide their journey and contact details up to 48 hours before arrival, and self-isolate at home for 14 days. These restrictions will be reviewed every three weeks. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) currently advises British nationals against all but essential international travel, and this advice is also being kept under constant review.
