DAY 01 AIRPORT/ COLOMBO
Arrival at Colombo International Airport, then transfer to your hotel in the largest city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo.
The trade and commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Colombo has long been the traditional gateway to the Orient. Sri Lanka’s largest city, it is located on the west coast and draws together all the cultures, religions and influences of foreign lands into a pot-pourri of sounds, smells and a kaleidoscope of colour. Today, Colombo is a fascinating city - a happy blend of east & west, past & present, with a charm of its own. A less known but amazingly true fact is that Colombo has a superb range of high quality restaurants serving food from all over the world and some of the best shopping opportunities in Asia.
The main seaport of Sri Lanka is in Colombo & adjoining it, is Pettah, a local bazaar & trading area. Other places of interest are the beautiful Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, mosques, the historic Wolfendhal church, (1749) residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Colombo Museum, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, the New Parliament in Sri Jayewardenepura, the Folk Art Centre, Art Galleries, Parks, Independence Square and ODEL the renowned shopping centre. DAY 02 COLOMBO/NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast at the hotel proceed uphill on a scenic drive to the heart of Ceylon Tea, Nuwara Eliya. (Approx Travel time: 2 ½ to 3 HRS) Check into your hotel and unwind. Nuwara Eliya is set in the heart of tea-country is a beautiful town where the British succeeded in creating a replica of the English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Well-kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican church, a famous golf course and beautiful parks give the place an air of nostalgia. Situated 6,200 feet above sea level, the air is cool and fresh – a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Pony and horse riding is available at the turf club of Nuwara Eliya to facilitate you with some sports and adventure. Visit a tea plantation situated in the misty mountains of the Sri Lankan Hills, to experience the ultimate feel of a tea plantation and its process. OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION AT THE LANGDALE BY AMAYA
DAY 03 NUWARA ELIYA/WELLAWAYA
After breakfast proceed to the railway station in Nanu Oya to board the train at 1555HRS to arrive at the railway station in Ella at 1825 HRS. (Approx Travel time: 1 to 1 ½ HRS ). Check into your hotel and unwind. OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION AT THE KANDURUKETHA, WELLEWAYA
DAY 04 WELLAWAYA/UDAWALAWE
After breakfast proceed to visit the Udawalawe National Park where you can enjoy an exciting 4x4 jeep safari. Udawalawa, Located approximately 200 km south-east of Colombo city and is a major eco tourism destination in Sri Lanka. The 30,821 hectares dry zone game park has an annual rainfall of 1524 mm and an average temperat ure of 29.4°C. It is most famous for the many elephants that live there (about 400 in total). During a visit, it is not unusual to see whole herds of adults and young elephants feeding or bathing and playing in the water! In addition to this main attraction, the park is home to many water buffalo, water monitor lizards, sambar deer, monkeys and the occasional leopard, as well as being an exciting location for bird enthusiasts. (Approx Travel time: 1 HR) On completion return to your hotel and spend at leisure. OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION AT THE KANDURUKETHA, WELLEWAYA.
DAY 05 WELLAWAYA/BUDURUWAGALA
After breakfast proceed to visit the ancient site of Buduruwagala.(Approx Travel time: 15 Min )
Buduruwagala is an ancient buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. The complex consists of seven statues and belongs to the Mahayana school of thought. The statues date back to the 10th century. The gigantic Buddha statue still bears traces of its original stuccoed robe and a long streak of orange suggests it was once brightly painted. The central of the three figures to the Buddha's right is thought to be the Buddhist mythological figure-the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. To the left of this white painted figure is a female figure in the thrice-bent posture, which is thought to be his consort-Tara. On completion return to your hotel and spend at leisure. DAY 06 WELLAWAYA/BALAPITIYA
After breakfast proceed to the uncharted beach of Balapitiya. Check into your hotel.

DAY 07 , 10 12 or 14 BALAPITIYA
Spend rest the full day at leisure by the pool or beach and enjoy the other facilities of the hotel.
