Spend a day exploring the spectacular rock fortress of Sigiriya, then experience traditional village life and walk through paddy fields and vegetable crops. Your last stop in the historic city of Polonnaruwa is full of ruins and sights from the 11th to 13th centuries.
Pidurangala Rock climb
Pidurangala Rock is a beautiful 360-degree viewpoint opposite the world-famous Sigiriya Lion Rock. Hiking to the top is an adventure, especially at sunrise for an incredible view of Lion Rock itself.
Nuwara Eliya
Drive through the misty mountains to Nuwara Eliya and marvel at the tea-covered slopes along the way. Visit a tea plantation to witness tea picking and chat with the tea pickers.
