Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1: Negombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, after completing immigration formalities and collecting your luggage, our representative will greet you at the arrival lounge with signage and assist you to board the vehicle. You will be immediately transferred to your hotel where you can check in and relax.
You will spend the night here.
Day 2: Sigiriya
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Sigiriya.
Morning boat ride in the lagoon.
The Negombo lagoon is a vast expanse of water dotted with a number of islands. Water is abundant in the form of various types of fish, crabs and lagoon shrimps.
Mangroves and other types of marsh plants are found on the islands and along the land surrounding the lagoon. Various types of water birds such as herons, cormorants and swifts are an additional attraction for the visitor.
During the boat trip, you will be served a refreshing Arrack cocktail or a royal coconut, you will have the opportunity to watch the sunset during this trip.
Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple (also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla) this temple consists of five caves and a picturesque façade carved into the side of a steep rock face. It houses ancient paintings of the Buddha and his life.
Home to the famous Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ironwood Forest and the Rose Quartz Mountain Range, Dambulla offers historical adventures and breathtaking views in an area that UNESCO has designated as the Cultural Triangle.

Day 3: Sigiriya
Breakfast at the hotel.
Sigiriya - (Lion Rock), is a large ancient rock fortress and palace ruin in central Dambulla, Sri Lanka, surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, tanks and other structures.
A popular tourist destination, Sigiriya is also famous for its ancient paintings (frescoes) reminiscent of the Ajanta Caves in India. It is one of the seven World Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka. It is also declared by UNESCO as the 8th wonder of the world.
Please note: If you wish to climb to the top, it will take about 2-3 hours.
Lunch in the open air at Sigiriya overlooking the rock fortress.
Optional at extra cost: Jeep safari to Minneriya National Park: The national parks in Habarana are the best places in the country to see wild elephants, which are often present in huge numbers.
Good to know: Elephants move to one of these national parks. Therefore, we will choose the best park to see the most elephants, the evening will be the best time to see many of them.
Overnight in Sigiriya
Day 4: Kandy
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Kandy.
Cycle tour, catamaran ride, experience traditional village life.
Enjoy a scenic catamaran ride through the nature reserve, a relaxing trip with lots of nature and wildlife to see, under the guidance of an expert. You can discover the traditional village life and walk around, you will also discover the vegetable crops of the area. Afterwards, you can experience the special pleasure of Sri Lankan life in a village house.
On the way, visit the Ayurvedic village of Matale. In early history, Sri Lanka, known as Taprobane, was world famous for its quality spices.
Please note: Spices are also available for sale on the site but you are not obliged to buy them.
You can only do so if you wish and if you don't, don't feel obliged and politely decline.

Day 5: Kandy
Breakfast at the hotel
The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic or Dalada Maligawa (Tooth Temple) is a monumental architectural legacy not only of Kandy but of the whole of Sri Lanka. The tooth relic was brought to Kandy by King Wimaladharmasuriya-I who took it out of Delgamuwa at Sabaragamuwa.
Please note: We recommend wearing modest clothing while visiting the Temple of the Tooth. Flowers for offering can be purchased along the way to the temple. Proper attire is required for the visit. You may take your camera; shoes must be removed at the temple entrance and secure storage facilities are available.
Kandy City Tour by Tuk Tuk: Kandy is nestled in the middle of green hills, interspersed with the Mahaweli River and the beautiful Kandy Lake as its centrepiece, it is certainly the most picturesque city on the island and the most visited. It still retains much of its old-world charm and traditions, crafts and typical Sri Lankan lifestyle. Join your guide and continue with the rest of the tour.
Visit the batik and woodcarving centre. You will get a glimpse of the local arts and crafts, or the finely cut gems, that you can find in Kandy.
Notes: It takes about 2-3 hours to visit the evening cultural show in Kandy.

Day 6: Nuwara-Eliya
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Nuwara-Eliya.
Train journey Kandy- Nanu Oya: Travelling by train in Sri Lanka is a unique experience. The railway line stretches through picturesque hills, and magical and unspoilt landscapes.
The train still follows the legendary route built in the 19th century. Whichever route you choose, you are guaranteed an unforgettable journey. In addition, it is possible that our agency in Sri Lanka can adjust the day of the train and/or the route. This is done when they hear that a train is crowded and/or the delay will increase.
Good to know: Please be aware that the train journey is on a simple local train which is less comfortable than what you are used to (Duration: about 3 hours)
Tea Plantation and Factory Tour and Tea Picking Experience: Sri Lanka is home to the world's best tea, the world-famous Ceylon tea. With its rich, fine flavour and brilliant golden colour, it is unsurpassed in quality. The tour will give you an insight into the true art of growing and producing this brew.

Day 7: Yala
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Yala.
Jeep safari to Yala National Park: The second largest national park in Sri Lanka, Yala is located in the southeastern part of the island in a dry, semi-arid climate on the edge of the Indian Ocean.
The number of mammals recorded in Yala is 44 and the park boasts one of the highest densities of leopards in the world. The majestic Sri Lankan elephant and the leopard take pride of place in this amazing national park.

Day 8: Yala - Colombo
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the hotel in Colombo.
On the way, visit Galle Fortress: One of Sri Lanka's must-see attractions, this ancient citadel is full of history and charm. Learn how Asia's largest fort was built, walk along the ramparts and enjoy panoramic views of the fort, harbour and crystal clear waters below.
Meet the descendants of the first merchant families. Explore the island's fascinating shops and museums, from colonial antiques to restaurants.
Depending on your arrival in Colombo, visit the city. Colombo is the largest city in Sri Lanka, it is located on the west coast and brings together all cultures and religions. Sightseeing: Squire, Gangaramaya Temple, the historic Wolfendhal Church and the Colombo Museum (if open and weather permitting).
Good to know: Colombo's roads are always congested with traffic.
