Flavour and texture are obviously hugely important factors when it comes to enjoying fine food. There is, however, an element of theatre when you sit down to dine. The style of the room obviously sets the tone and the grand interiors at Kinnettles Castle do a wonderful job of creating a sumptuous and dramatic sense of occasion.
As far as the cuisine itself is concerned, the award-winning chefs source ingredients locally wherever possible, with meats supplied by the local butcher in Dundee, and fresh fish from Scottish harbours.
Your Time —
A bit of an Aladdin's cave for the boys, the Casino at Kinnettles is fitted out with a full size snooker table, roulette wheel and cards table. However, if a Casino isn't what you're looking for then this area also includes large HD-TV's, a DVD player, Sky, a PS3 and Nitendo Wii.
The Castle Wine Cellar
Walls lined with some very special vintages, and dramatic lighting glinting off the rows of bottles, give the cellar an invitingly atmospheric feel. It’s ideal for intimate private dining and obviously sets the scene for memorable and impressive wine tasting events. The perfect setting for romantic private dining or simply a place to sample the multitude of new and old world wines available to enjoy.
Kinnettles Castle boasts a magnificent bar of grand proportions. The combination of white walls, ornate ceiling, striking contemporary chandeliers and black leather sofas creates a dramatically stylish setting in which to enjoy everything from Scottish whiskies to classic cocktails.
The 44 acres of manicured lawns and mature trees surround the castle in a swathe of enticing verdant green, giving it a suitably grand setting and providing a playground a wide range of activities
