Itinerary 1 —
Day 1: UK - Moscow
Fly to Moscow and make your way to your ship. This evening, enjoy dinner and traditional Russian folk music on-board.
This is your chance to discover the main sights of Russia's impressive capital, including the Red Square where one can find many of the most important landmarks in Moscow, including the Alexander Garden, Saint Basil’s Cathedral, and the Red Square. There is also time for a quick photo opportunity at Novodevichy Convent & a visit to Goum, the largest and most impressive department store in the capital.
Day 3: Moscow
After breakfast you will be taken to see the Moscow Kremlin. This fortified complex has functioned as the Seat of the Grand Dukes, the Residence of the Tsars, and currently is the residence of the President of the Russian Federation; it features four palaces, four cathedrals, and monumental enclosing walls and towers. Return to the ship for lunch and then enjoy an afternoon at leisure, followed by dinner on board.
Your will depart Moscow tonight and start its way up the River Volga.
Today, visit to the town of Uglich which juts out into the Volga River on one of his many deep bends, first documented in 1148. The town made its historical mark due to the suspicious death of Dmitri Ivanov, son of Ivan the Terrible.
The Church of St Dmitri on the Blood, built in his memory, appears on the horizon as the ship sails towards the town and is one of the great sights to be seen in Uglich. In the evening, enjoy a captain's dinner and entertainment on-board.
Disembark in one of the oldest cities in Russia, where history can be found around almost every corner. Such a fascinating place deserves a tour and yours will take you to some of its best loved sights such as the jewel coloured domes of the Church of Elijah and the treasure-trove of art that isthe Governor's Building.
The afternoon will be devoted to the local market where you can soak up the local atmosphere.
Today, disembark for a shore excursion to Goritsy, a tiny village settlement on the edge of the White Lake. Spend some time wandering through its medieval streets as you visit the main attractions. The Monastery of St. Cyril was founded in 1397 and is a particular delight to visit due to its an impressive ensemble of priories, churches and historical references. In the evening a Russian style dinner and entertainment awaits you on-board.
After breakfast and morning entertainment on-board, visit the Island of Kizhi located in Lake Onega. This island draws its fame from its scenic collection of wooden churches with the centrepiece, the 22 domed Church of the Transfiguration, built completely without the use of nails.
The Island has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site and is the highlight of any Russian river cruise. Entrance is included to the open air museum of wooden architecture and a visit to a typical Korelian House. Return to the boat after for a pirate themed dinner, followed by entertainment on-board.
Wake up in Mandorgui, this village is a fantastically colourful example of rural Russia & traditional Russian life that is lived out within charming wooden buildings with highlights such as a vodka museum which houses a collection of 2,800 different types of vodka brought from all across the Russian Federation. Joining this popular attraction are craft workshops where painting and wood carving, weaving, lacework, and pottery are demonstrated.
Today's tour includes a traditional Russian BBQ lunch, visitors can also see local recipes being made and visit the farms which are tended by the local villagers.
Relax and enjoy your evening on board with the ship's Gala Concert.
After breakfast on-board, prepare to explore the wonderful city of St Petersburg on a panoramic city tour. The tour by coach will take in some of the most famous sights including the Exchange, Palace Square and the magnificent Winter Palace, St Isaac’s Cathedral, Cathedral of the Saviour on the Spilled Blood and Nevsky Prospekt, the city’s main thoroughfare.
After lunch you will visit the world-renowned Hermitage museum. A magnificent collection of art is housed in the winter palace of Catherine the Great. One of the biggest museums in the world and founded in 1764, its collection includes over 2.7 million items, including masterpieces of Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael, Rodin and Rembrandt. Return to the ship for dinner on-board.
Day 10-11: St Petersburg
Spend some time drinking in the magic of Russia's second capital at your own pace.
Day 12: Departure
After breakfast, make your way to the airport in time for your flight home.

Breakfast is a buffet meal, while lunch is a hearty affair that usually offers a traditional Russian soup, considered an essential staple on most local lunch menus. Dinners are often something of an event - displaying the food and colourful garb of various Russian regions.
