Ponta de São Lourenço Walking Tour
Discover unique landscapes in Madeira that contrast with the lush vegetation of the island. Located in the far east of Madeira and exposed to strong winds, Sao Lourenço point has rocky soil and peeling cliffs.
Although the vegetation is low as you walk along the trail, you can enjoy amazing and unique landscapes with the Desertas Islands, to the south, and the Porto Santo Islands, to the north, with a coastal landscape and a black sand beach created by the neighboring volcano.
You will also be able to observe magnificent and unique species of flora and fauna, such as protected seabirds, such as the Cory's Shearwater, Madeira Daffodil, Alma-negra and Common Tern.
