Your Destination —
This romantic property is located on the banks of the river Tagus, in the triangle of the old quarters of Lapa, Madragoa and Santos, and only a short walk from Santos Train Station. From here you can reach all of the most famous sights of Lisbon, including the below:
National Ancient Art Museum
Considered to house the best collection of Portuguese and European art, this museum features works by Gonclaves, Bosch, Raphael and more, and is conveniently located right next door to your hotel.
Castelo de São Jorge
Castelo São Jorge is a fortified structure that dates back to the 11th century. Conquered by the Moors and taken back by the first king of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques, it was over the centuries the residence of a number of monarchs who enjoyed the security and, perhaps most of all, the incredible view.
Berardo Collection Museum of Modern Art
Can be counted among the best private collections of contemporary art in the world. You can see the works of the world's greatest artists like Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Dali, Roy Lichtenstein, Bacon, Balthus, Andy Warhol and many more. Discover also Portuguese artists like Paula Rego, Vieira da Silva, Helena Almeida, Pedro Cabrita Reis, Jorge Molder and Ângelo de Sousa.
Belém Tower
Forming an integral part of Lisbon’s former line of defence, the Belém Tower was finally finished in 1520. Its architect, Francisco de Arruda, had created a masterpiece of Manueline art with Moorish influences.
Hieronymites Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos)
A perfect example of Manueline art, and classed as a world heritage site by Unesco in 1983, the Monastery of the Hieronymites has always been one of Portugal’s symbolic monuments, and took from 1502 until nearly a century later to build. The monastery’s church houses the tombs of illustrious national figures such as the king Dom Manuel I and his descendants, the explorer Vasco da Gama and the poet Luís de Camões.

A continental breakfast can be brought to your room: coffee and croissants, with juice and jam.
If you want to be social, head down to the larger of the sitting rooms (or the garden in good weather) and help yourself to an extensive buffet.
If the weather is cooler, recline by the fireplace in the cosy living room, decorated with interesting art and antiques.
In the afternoons or evenings, relax in the rooftop library and enjoy a drink with panoramic views on the terrace leading off from it.
A light room service is available day and night, toasted sandwiches, plates of cheese and ham, or you can order in a pizza.
For all other meals, a directory of local restaurants is left in each bedroom. Try A Traverssa for friendly service and Belgian cooking in an ancient monastery or Guarda Mor for excellent Portuguese fare; it’s very popular with guests.
