And, you'll visit Santana, famous for the typical houses with thatched roofs. The north coast boasts breathtaking views, waterfalls and deep valleys. Porto Moniz is the perfect place for lunch near the natural volcanic rock swimming pool near the volcanic plateau on the island - Paul de Serra. In South Madeira, you'll pass lovely fishing villages with banana plantations and vineyards which make an unforgettable day.

Half Day Madeira Centre - Nun's Valley and Monte Village

Half Day Levada Walks - East And Pleasant Walk on the Country Side

This is an easy walk along a 'Levada' (Madeira's unique water irrigation system) in the village of Gaula. Come across beautiful flowers, valleys and people on your one-hour flat walk. After, you'll visit one of the locals' house where you'll be welcomed with afternoon tea, sweet potato homemade bread, sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, fruit and a delicious dessert.
