Madeira is a spectacularly beautiful island, lush with vineyards and rich farmland, pitted with valleys, topped by spectacular peaks and with a coastline of sheer cliffs. The luxurious 5-Star Belmond Reid's Palace Hotel is located on a tranquil peninsula by the ocean and close to the heart of Funchal.
Funchal enjoys a magnificent setting on the Bay of Funchal, rising up from the sea in a natural amphitheatre. Local coaches can whisk you right around the island though there is more than enough to do and see in and around Funchal. The city centre is gratifyingly small, and its narrow cobbled streets host a splendid market, some intriguing little museums, shops and cafes, a salty old port area, and can easily be covered on foot. There are fine gardens to enjoy, even in the town centre, but a 5-10 minute taxi ride will take you to the island's finest estates and gardens.

This offer is based on a Classic Room or a Superior Room. For stays between 10/12-13/12 and 06/01 - 28/02 Classic Rooms are upgraded for free to Superior Rooms, and Superior Rooms and upgraded to Deluxe Rooms.

Spa - The Spa at Reid's Palace Resort in Madeira is dedicated to the rejuvenation of body, mind and soul. Here, by the tranquil waters of Madeira, you will experience the luxury of being pampered and the sensation of timelessness.
Pools - There are 3 swimming pools: 2 are seawater swimming pools - including 1 heated at 76/84ºF (25/30ºC), and 1 is freshwater heated. One of the pools is located at the sea level platform (with direct access to the ocean) and two others are by the Pool Terrace.
Outdoor activities - The hotel also offers two tennis courts (free of charge), a sauna, windsurfing, fishing, scuba diving (available upon request), billiards and Levada walks.
Fitness Room - The hotel offers a 500 square feet gym with wonderful views over the ocean; equipped with LifeStyle cardio-training equipment and free weights.
