Golfers can enjoy seven magnificent golf courses nearby, including the Palácio Hotel’s own famous course, Estoril Golf, just 2.5 km away. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy a wide variety of activities ranging from windsurfing and sailing to water skiing, kite surfing and parascending.
Not far away, the romantic town of Sintra, a World Heritage site located in the Sintra Hills, offers Royal Palaces, Museums and Botanical Gardens. The 'golden triangle' of Estoril-Cascais-Sintra is also the scene of numerous international sporting events, such as the Portugal Golf Open and the Estoril Tennis Open, the World Windsurfing Championships and international motor and motorcycle races.

Overlooking Estoril and the sea this 5200 metre long course is set amongst eucalyptus, mimosas and pine trees giving a uniquely colourful touch that demands excellent tactics, challenges in accuracy rather than distance.
The Estoril Championship Course was created in 1929 and redesigned in 1936 by Mackenzie Ross. It is known as one of the oldest and most emblematic clubs in Portugal and where two of the Portuguese most important tournaments have been held frequently: the Portuguese Open for 20 years and the Portuguese International Championship Amateur for 63 years. A long list of famous golfers have played Estoril including Ballesteros, Montgomerie, Sam Torrance, Canizares, Gene Sarazen, Peter Allis and Bernard Gallacher.
Golf lessons and clinics are available all year round in Portuguese, English and German. Caddies are highly experienced and some have worked for many PGA players.
After finishing your golf game you can taste the delights of Portuguese cuisine at the Estoril Golf Clubhouse, whilst you overlook the 18th hole and a spectacular view over the Atlantic Ocean.
The golf course is approximately 2.5 km from the hotel and a shuttle service is provided between the hotel and golf course.
