Less than an hour away from Quinta Da Palmeira– Country House Retreat, is the city of Coimbra, one of the oldest university cities in Europe. Inserted within a beautiful valley you must visit its preserved medieval old town or famed baroque library, the Biblioteca Joanina.

Located in a separate building close to the main house, the 33 m² Superior room offers you complete privacy in its stylishly decorated space, with a private terrace that offers beautiful views.

Junior Suite

These 35 m² bedrooms are decorated with bold colour combinations, fine ornaments and luxurious furnishings, whilst boasting large windows for sensational mountain views. Relax and unwind in your sanctuary whilst in soft waffle robes and comfortable beds with orthopedic mattresses.

Junior Suite Premium

The spacious Junior Suites Premium are located on the second floor of the main house, and boast 40 m² of beautifully decorated tranquility. Designed as large, light and airy suites, with an elegant modern aesthetic: beige wool carpets on pale wood floors and big beautiful beds, this room will be your personal haven for the duration of your stay. All suites have windows for stunning mountain views.

This offer is based on a Bed and Breakfast stay.
An optional upgrade to Half Board is available at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee. (Breakfast and evening meal served in main restaurant - excludes drinks).

With breakfast included in your stay, this gives you the opportunity to taste the local delicacies of the region, however if you wish to eat the most exceptional food, you may opt to upgrade to half board.

Dine in at the hotel, which offers daily prepared menus, cooked with only the best & carefully selected fresh local produce from the farmer's market and from their own herb & vegetable garden. You can expect gourmet food but with a down-to-earth attitude, on top of an excellent selection of regional and national wines.

With the extra time you are offered in Portugal, you could lay by the tranquil pool under the swaying palms, or explore the diversity of the region. 

Go on an Alpaca Trek through the magnificent landscapes, horse ride through villages, woods and on the banks of the River Alva, hike in Serra do Açor, or swim and relax in the sun on the many river beaches in Rio Alva. If you want to head even further afield, why not hike in the largest natural park in Portugal, the Serra da Estrela or practice golf on the 27 holes of Montebelo near Viseu?

Car Hire —

Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group.
The minimum age for driving a hire car in Portugal is 21 and drivers must have held a full driving licence for a least 1 year.

The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver.  The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted).

The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on collection of the vehicle and in some cases a credit card or cash deposit will be required.

Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions.

Your Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services. Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
